Job Description

We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

This is a hybrid role based out of Palo Alto, CA.

About SAP Business Network:

At SAP Business Network, we strive to hire amazing people, engage them, and maintain a diverse workforce. The concepts of inclusion, collaboration, and respect for the individual are central to our values.

SAP Business Network is the largest B2B commerce and collaboration platform in the world, connecting millions of trading partners across procurement, logistics, asset management, and supply chain ecosystems. We are building the “Network of Intelligent Enterprises” – a unified, AI-powered business network that transforms how companies collaborate with their suppliers, logistics providers, contract manufacturers, and other partners.

The Role:

We are seeking an exceptional Director of Product Management for Product Operations. You will be the force behind the operating model that allows our large, globally distributed product organization to move faster, prioritize better, make sharper data-driven decisions, and ship world-class capabilities with relentless consistency.

This is not a “Jira admin” or “process police” role. This is a strategic product leadership position. You will own the engine room that defines how one of our most important growth pillars builds, measures, learns, and scales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the “chief of staff” for core products in SBN, preparing reports, executive updates, and QBRs with flawless materials and insights.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve the end-to-end product operating model for roadmaps, stack-ranking prioritization frameworks, OKR process, product execution governance, portfolio reviews, etc.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives, including but not limited to the Business Network platform upgrade initiative.
  • Own the product metering and insights, help define the metrics that matter, build/executive dashboards, and ensure every major decision is grounded in data.
  • Drive cross-portfolio alignment and resource-prioritization conversations with product management, engineering, and design teams.
  • The responsibilities for this role are subject to expansion.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in product management or product operations roles in enterprise SaaS or B2B platforms, with experience scaling a 50+ person product organization, is strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of building and running Product Operations functions that materially improved velocity, quality, and business outcomes.
  • Deep experience with OKR frameworks, portfolio management, and product-led growth metrics in network-effect businesses.
  • Exceptional executive communication skills, you can run an executive product review meeting or QBR single-handedly and make complex data feel simple and actionable.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence executive leaders without direct authority and drive alignment in highly matrixed organizations.
  • Strong supply chain/procurement domain knowledge and genuine curiosity about how business networks actually work.
  • Highly adaptable and able to switch seamlessly between strategic vision and tactical execution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field, MBA strongly preferred.

If you are a product leader who gets energized by building the systems and culture that let great product teams do their best work, and you want to do it at the scale of the world’s largest business network, this is your role. Join us and become the operational backbone that turns SAP Business Network into the most effective product organization in enterprise software.
