DevOps Engineering Specialist with Python (fixed-term contract)

Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical DevOps Engineer to join our team in Sofia, Bulgaria on a fixed-term contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure and deployment pipelines. You will work collaboratively with development and operations teams to ensure efficient, reliable, and secure systems that support our organization's growth and innovation.

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments
• Implement Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation and deploy containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack; troubleshoot infrastructure issues to minimize downtime
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages
• Collaborate with development teams to streamline deployment processes and improve system reliability
• Implement and enforce security best practices across infrastructure and deployment pipelines
• Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures for team reference
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide technical support and incident response

Qualifications

**Required Qualifications:**

• 3+ years of professional experience in DevOps engineering or related infrastructure roles
• Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix system administration
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines
• Demonstrated expertise with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation)
• Solid understanding of containerization technologies (Docker and Kubernetes)
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages, with proficiency in Git version control
• Experience with monitoring and logging solutions (Prometheus, ELK Stack, Grafana, or equivalent)
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills

**Preferred Qualifications:**

• Experience with microservices architecture and security best practices in DevOps environments
• Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and incident management tools
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and Agile methodologies
