What you`ll do:

SAP LeanIX is the market leader in enterprise architecture recognized by Gartner 5 years in a row (and counting) and with high praise by our customers. We got there by using the latest and greatest processes, tools, being innovative and a very strong focus on our customers. We want to continue with that in the AI era. We are looking now for a Development manager.

Your main objective is to lead your team and yourself:

  • Scale the team by leading the hiring efforts.

  • Drive growth and culture through 1:1s with individuals and in team sessions.

  • Lead a team supporting internal and external customers, providing AI solutions to them.

  • Guide your team to continuously improve the development process and to make customer centricity part of their DNA.

  • Inspire your team to work collaboratively, share knowledge and look beyond the team’s boundaries.

  • Learn and grow as a professional through leadership and buddy programs, training budgets and a strong community of leaders within and outside of Engineering.

SAP LeanIX believes in hands-on managers, so you will also spend a considerable amount of your time to:

  • Build the best possible product for our customers with a customer-first, outcome-oriented mindset.

  • Bring in senior engineer experience and a proven track record of strong problem-solving skills at scale.

  • Utilise your ability to continuously improve our software stack and developer experience through code.

  • Guide your team to closely align with Product Management and UX experts.

What you bring:

  • Led engineering teams according to our Engineering Values.

  • Multi-year experience as leader of high performing engineering teams with big impact.

  • You know how to work with very experienced engineers, and did mentoring in the past.

  • Had major exposure to AI, you know how to build AI first products, used it in business scenarios

  • Used to working and communicating across multiple teams and across the engineering org

  • You solved problems at scale and deliver customer value in a SaaS product environment.

  • Continuously learn, are proactive and curious.

  • 5+ years of proven track record engineering experience along our technical stack or similar.

As a member of AI Acceleration team you will help us transform the product to become AI native and keep its market leadership. We’re a small team of highly skilled engineers who value speed and efficiency and are distributed across Germany and Slovenia.
