We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.
About the team
The SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) enables customers to build a future-proof business data fabric that unifies and governs SAP and third-party data as the foundation for agentic AI and enterprise systems. The BDC Knowledge Graph (KG) team is responsible for all KG topics for SAP BDC, from data transformation and integration as part of the SAP Knowledge Graph, to tooling that enables customers to build their own ontologies and graphs. We work with modern software stacks and infrastructure, including agentic AI development and grounding. The team works very closely with global AI and KG teams to drive SAP’s vision of the autonomous enterprise, enabled by AI agents and grounded by the SAP Knowledge Graph.
As part of this team, you’ll be able to make a significant impact on a key strategic area for one of the world’s leading enterprise software providers with the opportunity to design and shape how challenges are tackled with the latest tech in a globally distributed and collaborative environment, with a strong team in Brazil.
What you’ll build
Lead, with a hands-on approach, the evolution of the design and architecture scalable, AI-native application systems and components, including advanced RAG pipelines and multi-agent workflows, as well as robust ETL pipelines.
Take an active role defining SAP's end-to-end knowledge graph infrastructure to support internal and external users in building the next generation of AI-powered applications.
Independently translate complex and ambiguous challenges into clear technical solution paths in alignment with the impacted technical and non-technical stakeholders, negotiating trade-offs and ensuring alignment for the success of these technical solutions.
Lead the design and implementation of observability and SRE practices, including monitoring, alerting, incident response, and root cause analysis to ensure high system reliability and self-correction.
Own development projects end-to-end, orchestrating technical execution with platform, data, and AI teams to ensure robust, production-ready solutions and improving system integration.
Drive the optimization of system scalability, resilience, cost efficiency and maintainability across systems through thoughtful design and engineering best practices.
What you bring
Exceptional programming and cloud-native software engineering expertise.
High proficiency in system design, including designing for scale, resiliency, and fault tolerance. Advanced expertise in microservices and distributed systems expected.
Strong experience in performance optimization and troubleshooting in complex system environments
Solid understanding of SRE principles, observability (logs, metrics, tracing), and incident management.
Demonstrated technical leadership in complex, cross-team engineering initiatives, including the ability to communicate complex topics clearly, establish alignment, and solve ambiguous problems in a dynamic environment.
A track record of mentoring and collaboration, acting as a role model to the less experienced members, and a trusted partner to peers and leaders.
Hands-on experience with:
Cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or SAP BTP
AI-assisted coding tools use and best practices
LLM integration and consumption, advanced RAG patterns, and agentic workflows is preferred.
Experience with ETL pipelines and/or Data Engineering is a strong plus.
