Purpose and Objectives


We are seeking a Global Car Fleet Governance & Compliance (Senior) Specialist to join our Global Car Fleet organization within Global Procurement. This role plays a key part in ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and consistency across our global fleet operations by defining, documenting, and continuously improving fleet-related processes. Acting as an important interface between Legal, Data Protection, Compliance teams, and internal stakeholders, this position ensures adherence to policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards, while supporting proactive process optimization and high-quality service delivery.

The Global Car Fleet organization is part of Global Procurement and manages SAP’s company car fleets in more than 40 countries worldwide. With approximately 33,000 vehicles under management, our mission is to provide SAP employees with the best possible mobility benefits while keeping sustainability at the core of our strategy.

Reporting to the Head of CoE Global Car Fleet, this position contributes to the ongoing development and harmonization of global standards, operational frameworks, and best practices. The ideal candidate brings a strong compliance mindset, process excellence experience, and international collaboration skills, helping the Global Car Fleet team strengthen its expertise in governance, process documentation, and regulatory compliance.

What you'll do

• Define, document, and continuously improve global fleet-related processes, leveraging AI tools and technologies to enhance operational efficiency and standardization across regions.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, workflows, and guidelines to support consistent fleet operations.

• Ensure compliance with internal policies, legal regulations, and audit requirements, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.

• Act as the key interface with Legal, Data Protection, and Compliance teams, facilitating alignment and collaboration on governance matters.

• Support internal and external audits, implement corrective actions, and monitor compliance effectiveness.

• Collaborate with cross-regional stakeholders to embed governance, process standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Monitor fleet-related key performance indicators, analyze operational data, and provide insights and recommendations to enhance process effectiveness and service quality.

What you bring

• A university degree in Business Administration, Compliance, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent professional experience, ideally within a mobility- or fleet-related environment.

• At least 3 years of experience in governance, compliance, process improvement, fleet management, and related operational roles in an international or multi-regional context.

• Proven ability to define, document, and improve complex processes, with experience in compliance, audit-driven environments, operational frameworks, and AI-based process analysis or optimization.

• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with Legal, Data Protection, Compliance, and other internal teams.

• Solid understanding of fleet-related operational processes, service delivery frameworks, and regulatory requirements.

• Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills, with a proactive mindset to drive continuous operational excellence.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English, both spoken and written, mandatory; German is a plus.
