Job Description

You'll design, code, test, and assure quality for SAP product features. You'll analyze issues, implement solutions, and contribute to continuous improvements in architecture and processes.

What you'll bring

You're a cloud developer with experience building AI-enabled microservices in cloud-native environments. You take full-stack ownership from design through to deployment.

• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for building microservices in cloud-native architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and integrating Large Language Model (LLM) services into applications.
• Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP).
• Proficiency with UI technologies — SAP UI5, Fiori, or React — for full-stack feature delivery.
• Solid grounding in CI/CD tools, observability practices, and cloud deployment workflows.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

What you'll build

You'll take end-to-end ownership of Generative AI Digital Assistant features — from design and development through to deployment and support.

• Develop and maintain Generative AI Digital Assistants using LLMs, AI APIs, and RAG pipelines.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and Software Architects to design and implement intelligent assistant capabilities.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated monitoring for digital assistant applications.
• Integrate digital assistants with cloud platforms and embed AI capabilities into cross-functional team applications.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of assistant systems across production environments.
• Track developments in AI, LLMs, and cloud-native development to improve the product continuously.

Where you belong

The Intelligent Service Delivery (ISD) Hub team builds AI-powered tools that transform how SAP delivers services. You'll work alongside Data Scientists, Engineers, and Architects in a collaborative, cross-functional engineering environment. This role is based at SAP Labs India, Whitefield — one of SAP's largest and most active development hubs globally.
