SUMMARY

The SAP Data Management and Landscape Transformation (DMLT) is a global organization as part of Business Data Cloud and Data Services Solution Area, Adoption Service Center in Customer Service & Delivery board area. We are searching for a senior consultant in Tokyo or Osaka, Japan joining us to provide Data Solutions with consulting tools/technologies and Data Area Portfolio to drive SAP Strategy, “AI-First, Suite-First” for true customer business value.

DMLT is offering Business Data consulting services for advisory, architect, and delivery of unique and advanced technology for customer’s business value.   • Value Creation: Global service portfolio development and tool development for Automation/Innovation adopting new technologies like embedding AI
  • Value Communication: DMLT specific Marketing, Go-To-Market, Demand Generation globally and locally
  • Value Delivery: Solution delivery covers Enterprise Architect to deep technology service for data area to connect solutions to business value
  • Value Feedback: continuous improvement, innovation, market feedback to various stakeholder and cross board-area

The nut-in-shell of our portfolio:

  1. Data Management

DMLT translates business strategy to deep-down technologies/solutions with holistic solution portfolio for customer’s challenges around data by providing services around Data Management Strategy, Governance, Architect, Data Quality, Master Data, Data Privacy, Data Volume and Retention, Data Integration and Intelligence, including SAP Business Data Cloud.

  1. Transition into the Intelligent Enterprise

We provide one of SAP standard transition approaches, Selective Data Transition including RISE with SAP Methodology and for Clean Core/Clean Data.

  1. System Landscape Optimization (SLO) for the Intelligent Enterprise

We have been delivering uniquely established services with special technology for more than 20 years for customer’s business challenges like M&A, Divestures, Organization Structure changes, Data harmonization like master data, Currency changes, System Consolidations for TCO reduction etc. It utilizes the table level migration/conversion technology as SAP product vendor.

This position is a great opportunity to join SAP Global expert community to become a global solution architect and develop carrier in special strategic technology in SAP.

THE ROLE AND EXPECTATIONS

As a Senior consultant in this position, your major role will mainly involve working in following area but not limited. Depending on your core capability, career aspiration, and SAP/DMLT transformation, we will align more detail e.g. weight among topics.:

  1. Business Generation: lead and collaborate local / regional / global colleagues and contribute Go-to-Market and Demand Generation in Value Communication for SAP Strategic topics like Data value story, RISE with SAP and Clean Core/Clean Data
  2. Pre-Sales support: understand customer’s business overall needs and position DMLT/SAP solution. Lead pre-sales support to individual customer cases to a contract signed
  3. Value delivery: Lead small to large-size projects to deliver value communicated to realize and lead to customer’s success maintaining customer and stakeholder relationship and satisfaction. Especially, in your own core solution area, lead solutioning and delivery and enable other consultants who is learning
  4. Global / Regional Operation Model: actively contribute and lead in global / regional operation model for DMLT Value Chain. E.g. drive an innovation topic globally working with other colleagues contributing from other countries like Americas / EMEA / MEE etc. Conduct trainings for DMLT solution. Etc.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduates from university with bachelor’s or master’s degree(s) or relevant work experience. if it is with area of specialties that potentially enhance business value like business administration, data science, especially AI etc., it would be great plus.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Business development skills – understand customer’s pain points and present potential SAP/DMLT solutions
  • Solution design and architecture skills for core knowledge area
  • Customer focus, ability to handle conflicts, organizational skills
  • Very good communication skills across all hierarchy levels, both internally and externally with leadership.
  • Fluent in Japanese and Business level+ in English plus or at least willingness to improve English

Specific skills including;

  • Knowledge of core business processes such as Lead-2-Cash, Procure-2-Pay, Design-2-Operate, or Hire-2-Retire are a strong asset
  • Experience in Business Data area of solutions understanding Data Management framework
  • Programming knowledge and experience (ABAP, Python, JAVA, etc.) at least debug-level
  • Some level of experience/knowledge of Project management, Enterprise Architect, or Business Consulting skills
  • Presentation and facilitation skills (e.g. visualization techniques, Design Thinking, etc.)

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years’ of work experience with SAP and overall 10 to 12 years of total IT industry experience.
  • Should have understanding of business processes and enterprise structure overview. Fundamental knowledge and experience of any application areas in ERP FI, CO, LO, SD or MM modules or cloud solutions like HxM, CxM etc.
  • Proven work experiences for areas above – Skill and Competencies.

Added Advantage:

  • If already worked in the area of presales support and RFP preparation for scoping
  • Knowledge in AI / Data Scientist is great plus
  • Work experience in a certain industries and related business process knowledge are plus
