The Role
Join SAP Cloud Infrastructure and help build the next generation of cloud services and platform capabilities supporting SAP's sovereign and regulated cloud environments.
As an Agentic Platform Engineer, you will contribute to developing and improving cloud-native applications, services, and automation solutions. You will work alongside experienced engineers, gain hands-on experience with modern technologies, and gradually take on more complex engineering responsibilities.
Depending on your experience and interests, you may work on cloud services, AI-enabled applications, platform engineering, or European open-source initiatives such as ApeiroRA and NeoNephos.
What You'll build
Develop, test, and maintain cloud-native applications, services, and APIs using Go, Python, Kubernetes, and related technologies.
Contribute to AI-enabled solutions and proofs of concept, including agentic tooling and sandboxing environments.
Support the development and improvement of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and monitoring solutions.
Troubleshoot technical issues, investigate root causes, and work with colleagues to improve reliability and performance.
Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and testing activities while learning from experienced engineers.
Collaborate with engineering teams and contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and open-source projects such as ApeiroRA and NeoNephos.
What You bring
Some practical experience in software development, DevOps, platform engineering, or a related area, gained through professional work, internships, or personal projects.
Experience with at least one programming language such as Go, Python, or a comparable language.
Basic understanding of Linux, containers, APIs, and cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes, with familiarity in CI/CD, Git, or automation.
Experience using AI tools for engineering tasks, with the ability to critically review their outputs and an interest in LLMs, MCP servers, or agentic technologies.
Curious and pragmatic approach to problem-solving, with a willingness to learn, take ownership, and share knowledge with others.
Good communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working in international teams and communicating effectively in English.
