Proficiency in reading single-line diagrams (SLD), P&ID schematics, and electrical/mechanical control drawings.
Knowledge of PLC systems, synchronizing panels, and automatic transfer switches (ATS).
Excellent problem-solving aptitude, willingness to travel extensively, and strong client-facing communication skills.
Skills & Responsibilities
Electrical Engineering: Apply knowledge of electrical and mechanical control drawings to execute equipment erection, system start-up, and site acceptance testing.
Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Utilize analytical skills to perform root cause analyses and resolve complex electrical failures in DRUPS units.
Maintenance & Compliance: Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance, including condition monitoring and adherence to HSE protocols like LOTO.
Client Communication: Act as the primary technical interface during site visits, communicating failure reports and operational best practices to client facility managers.

Key Responsibilities
Installation and Commissioning
Site Preparation: Oversee pre-installation site readiness, including electrical and mechanical installation. Pre-commissioning activities as per pre-commissioning check list.
Equipment Erection: Supervise mechanical placement of machine, alignment of the diesel engine, alternator, and kinetic energy storage module (accumulator).
Commissioning: Execute system start-up, site acceptance testing (SAT), and load bank testing as per SAT protocol and customer / site requirements.
Preventive and Predictive Maintenance
Routine Servicing: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) checklists covering mechanical, electrical, and control systems (e.g., engine, accumulator, alternator, ventilation, vibration checks, temperatures, bearing checks, coupling alignment, battery health checks for controls).
Condition Monitoring: Analyse system logs, vibration data and operating parameters to predict and prevent component wear or failure.
Compliance: Maintain accurate service logs, equipment history files, and reports according to sites and equipment.
Troubleshooting and Corrective Maintenance
Fault Diagnosis: Respond rapidly to emergency breakdown calls; diagnose complex electrical failures in DRUPS units.
Component Replacement: Execute corrective actions, including replacing major sub-assemblies (control cards, sensors, wiring).
Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Perform detailed RCAs for critical failures and generate corrective action reports (CAR) for internal teams and clients.
Customer Support and Technical Coordination
Client Communication: Act as the primary technical interface during site visits, explaining maintenance statuses, failure reports, and operational best practices to client facility managers.
Spare Parts Management: Identify, recommend, and manage critical spare parts inventory required for preventive maintenance and emergency stock.
Safety and Compliance
HSE Adherence: Strictly follow Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), high-voltage safety, and working with rotating machinery/heavy lifting equipment.
Risk Assessment: Conduct Job Safety Analyses prior to starting high-risk maintenance or commissioning tasks
