Key Accountabilities:

Responsible for all application engineering related electrical solution engineering for major Data Center Projects in Thailand.

Collaborate with the regional application team on application engineering work.

Be the subject matter expert to advise the regional team (application engineering) of the local Thailand standards and norms that are applicable to our business.

Assist to develop and manage complete scope from initiation to onsite delivery of electrical systems related to the diesel genset enclosure.

Tendering Matters

Work closely with the regional team to define the technical scope.

Review/clarify customer’s specifications & tender documents.

Review and finalize the C/D/E document together with the regional application engineering team.

Provide the technical specifications and define the scope of supply for the equipment.

Coordinate with factory and local suppliers to harmonize the scope of supply.

Work with suppliers/contractors to quote for the equipment and obtain proposals timely.

Solution Engineering Matters

Ensure all electrical designs and installations comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.

Define the electrical systems requirements for the walk in genset enclosures suitable for the project needs.

Provide the electrical/automation design and prepares the drawings and documents for the customer’s technical requirements.

Calculate, verify, and select the right equipment/suppliers.

Uses the computerized engineering tools/database, technical library information and factory standards for the solution engineering work.

Assist in diagnosing and resolving electrical issues related to power generation and distribution.

Provide and maintain the product and solution engineering information.

Prepare and carry out technical presentations and training.

Order Execution – PSB Engineering

Ensure project governance in accordance to the company project steering guidelines.

Verify and confirm the shop drawings, P&ID, datasheets, and similar technical documents to ensure customer specification compliance.

Finalize equipment scope and specifications. Collaborate with internal departments to procure the equipment.

Raise the purchase requisitions for the scope of supply.

Support the execution team to resolve technical issue related to the mechanical systems during project execution, from packaging to site related.

Participate in design review and lessons learnt sessions. Proactively provide valuable insights and recommendation to enhance system performance and efficiency.

Establish close working relationships with the various local stakeholders on site.

Working with internal stakeholders and suppliers

Be responsible to the APAC application engineering lead on the application engineering aspects of the project.

Work with the APAC hub on the order specific technical drawings and technical documentations.

Take part in genset enclosure FAT to understand the deliverables to site.

Align with APAC hub to value add on the best practice in technical execution to improve our customer experience.

Other Matters

Travels overseas on business, when required.

Updates oneself with the technical developments of the market and internal products.

Special assignment from time to time.

Qualifications and Skills:

University / college studies in Electrical engineering.

Proven experience in engineering genset enclosure solutions in the diesel engine/generator industry, min. 5 years.

Solid understanding of automation system, electrical system, protection system of a diesel generator set and demonstrate the ability to integrate the understanding into designing a genset enclosure.

Knowledge of engineering calculation for genset electrical systems, for e.g., load & short circuit sizing.

Demonstrating the ability to conceptualize and execute complex electrical system designs and bring cost benefit to the customer.

Create and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system layouts.

Good understanding of Asian cultures and business practices.

Good team player with proactiveness, good communication skills and positive attitude.

Willingness to travel. Mainly in APAC.

Proficient in English and Thai language, both written and spoken.
