Job Description

The FinOps Analyst will be responsible for helping our customers understand their cloud consumption better and identify opportunities for optimisation. They will also be responsible for supporting the FinOps and the Managed Services teams, as well as the rest of the business by providing cloud spend insights, building and improving consumption reports, forecasts and internal processes. They would be working on one of the largest sets of resold Google Cloud accounts in EMEA, supporting our Managed Services and FinOps teams in delivering services to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Work with customers to understand their cloud consumption and identify opportunities for optimization
  • Develop and deliver cloud spend reports to customers
  • Build and improve cloud spend reporting tools and processes
  • Support the FinOps and Managed Services team, as well as the rest of the business with insights on cloud spend analysis and optimization
  • Support the invoicing process by verifying cloud spend data and helping maintain automated processes
  • Support the FinOps team on customer projects by providing cloud spend analysis reports and optimisation insights
  • Help sales by providing cloud spend forecasts and optimization opportunities as part of Cloud Commitment contracting
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest cloud pricing and consumption trends

Requirements

  • Experience in cloud spend analysis or FinOps
  • Cloud computing experience (preference on Google Cloud)
  • Experience in a data analyst or data engineer role
  • Understanding of cloud pricing and consumption models
  • Excellent data analysis skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously
