What to expect:
We’re searching for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT team. This role offers the opportunity to manage and improve a wide range of IT systems and networks, ensuring seamless operations across the company. You’ll play a key part in maintaining critical infrastructure, solving complex technical issues, and enabling the team to deliver cutting-edge quantum technology. This is a unique chance to contribute to the scalability and success of a world-leading quantum computing company.
What you'll be responsible for:
You’ll play an important role in managing and maintaining our IT systems and network infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and robust support for our quantum technology. Your responsibilities will include:
- Resolving complex technical issues, including troubleshooting and fault finding across a variety of systems and hardware.
- Managing system administration, including user accounts, permissions, and policies across platforms such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
- Setting up and maintaining user accounts, devices, and hardware such as network switches, firewalls, and servers.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting network services like VPN connectivity, routing, and vLANs, while ensuring compliance with security policies.
You’ll also configure security settings, proactively manage backups, and repair or replace infrastructure equipment to maintain optimal performance.
Requirements
You’ll need strong technical expertise and hands-on experience with a wide range of IT systems and tools. Key areas of knowledge include:
- Google Workspace Suite, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft Azure.
- Networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and vLANs.
- VMware, Veeam Backup & Replication, and PowerShell scripting for automation.
Familiarity with Linux systems (e.g., Ubuntu, Rocky) and hardware such as Dell PowerEdge Servers is also highly desirable. You should be proactive in problem-solving, detail-oriented, and comfortable collaborating with team members across the business. Your ability to manage system administration, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain security compliance will be critical to ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure.
