Senior Data Product Delivery Manager

Working location: Milton Keynes, Hybrid

Employment type: Full time, Permanent

Job summary:

At NHBC, we’re building a data capability that underpins our purpose: raising standards in house building and protecting homeowners. Data is central to how we deliver insight, support innovation, and drive transformation across our organisation.

We’re looking for a Senior Data Product Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of our growing portfolio of data products. In this senior, hands-on leadership role, you’ll ensure every data initiative delivers measurable business value, aligns with NHBC’s enterprise data strategy, and supports major transformation programmes such as Phoenix and ERP modernisation.

Reporting to the Chief Data and Architecture Officer, you’ll define and embed how NHBC delivers data products, creating an environment where teams can work with agility, accountability, and continuous improvement. This role offers the opportunity to shape NHBC’s data delivery capability for the future, helping us build scalable, cloud-based platforms that make a real difference for our colleagues, partners, and customers.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Shape NHBC’s data delivery model - define and embed the strategic framework for data product delivery, aligning with our enterprise data strategy and wider business objectives.
  • Lead the data product portfolio - oversee planning, prioritisation, and sequencing across multiple domains to balance short-term value with long term strategic outcomes.
  • Champion product-led, outcome focused delivery - embed data as a product principles and agile practices that focus on delivering business impact, not just outputs.
  • Ensure strategic alignment - work closely with Product Owners, architects, and transformation leads to keep delivery connected to enterprise priorities and technology roadmaps.
  • Provide senior delivery assurance - manage dependencies, risks, and timelines to ensure delivery excellence, pace, and quality.
  • Represent data delivery at senior forums - act as the voice of data delivery in governance structures, programme boards, and executive discussions.
  • Develop capability and maturity - build and coach high performing teams, embedding best practice and continuous improvement across all data delivery disciplines.
  • Foster collaboration and culture - promote openness, trust, and shared ownership across business, data, and technology teams.
  • Oversee vendor and partner delivery - ensure third party contributions align with NHBC’s standards and strategic direction.
  • Promote transparency and measurable outcomes - provide clear, meaningful reporting that keeps senior stakeholders informed and engaged.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience delivering data and analytics products within complex organisations.
  • Strong track record leading delivery in modern cloud data environments (e.g. Snowflake, dbt, Power BI) using agile and iterative methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to align technical delivery with measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience coordinating across engineering, analytics, architecture, and governance functions without reliance on traditional project structures.
  • Experience building or scaling delivery frameworks or operating models for data or digital functions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Strategic and analytical mindset, able to shape and execute delivery plans with clarity and purpose.
  • Comfortable leading through ambiguity and fostering alignment across diverse teams.
  • Skilled facilitator with a focus on outcomes, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency with delivery tools (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps, Miro, Confluence).
  • Deep understanding of agile delivery, data lifecycle management, and value-driven product thinking.
