About the role

This role sits within a collaborative legal team of around 12 colleagues. You will manage your own caseload and work independently, while partnering closely with procurement, operational risk, and stakeholders across the business.

Your primary focus will be advising business stakeholders on a wide range of commercial and legal matters, with a strong focus on drafting, negotiating, maintaining and renewing commercial contracts. You will also support governance activities, and help communicate regulatory changes across the organisation.

Alongside this, there may be opportunities to be involved in strategic change projects and broader transformation activity, including work linked to a project to implement technology to manage the end-to-end supplier lifecycle, including supplier selection, contracting and relationship management.

This is a fixed term opportunity for 12 months offering varied work, exposure to strategic initiatives and the ability to develop your expertise within a supportive team environment.

  • Strong legal advisory capability, with the ability to communicate complex issues clearly to a range of stakeholders

  • Experience working collaboratively with business teams, including procurement, or within project environments

  • Effective stakeholder management, with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels

  • Must be admitted as a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales Essential
