Job Description
IT Operational Change Lead
- Play a key role influencing safe and effective IT change across NFU Mutual
- Opportunity to build your leadership capability and shape change governance practices
- Hybrid 80% homeworking and 20% from Stratford upon Avon
About the role
As an IT Operational Change Lead at NFU Mutual, you’ll play a key role in enabling safe, effective and well-governed IT change across our product, service and supplier teams. Applying a risk-based change enablement framework, you’ll help ensure changes are delivered at pace while protecting service stability and supporting continual improvement.
Working within the IT Division, you will challenge and evaluate infrastructure, application and product led changes, ensuring risks are understood and minimised before implementation. You will chair governance forums, including change advisory boards, to enable informed, evidence-based decisions that support business outcomes.
You will take ownership of post change reviews and data led quality assurance activity, using insights to identify trends and improve change outcomes. You will also work closely with internal teams and suppliers, building strong relationships and influencing the adoption of best practice change enablement approaches.
This role is based in our Tiddington Head Office, just outside Stratford upon Avon. However, we understand how important a positive work life balance is, so to help you give your best, we offer great facilities when you want to be in an office environment and support working up to 80% of your hours from home.
About you
You are a highly capable IT change professional with a strong track record of leading change enablement in complex environments. You think critically and make well-informed decisions, applying a structured and organised approach to your work while maintaining a clear focus on service stability and delivery outcomes. You confidently influence and engage senior stakeholders, building trusted relationships across teams, suppliers and business areas to support effective decision making.
You bring a proactive and accountable mindset, taking ownership of outcomes and driving continuous improvement through insight-led thinking. You are comfortable coaching others, sharing best practice and helping to embed consistent and effective ways of working. With a strong customer focus, you ensure change activities are aligned to business needs and contribute to positive service and customer outcomes.
You are a natural leader who can balance governance with pragmatism, bringing clarity, direction and consistency to change enablement practices while supporting teams to deliver at pace.
To join NFU Mutual, you will also bring
- Proven experience leading IT Change Enablement across Agile, product-led and service-led environments, working across product teams, service owners and suppliers to support safe, controlled and well-governed delivery.
- Strong capability in applying risk-based Change Enablement governance, using a proportionate and pragmatic approach to balance delivery pace with service stability and minimise change-related risk.
- Experience chairing and facilitating governance forums such as Change Advisory Boards, enabling effective stakeholder engagement and informed, evidence-based decision making.
- Ability to lead post change reviews and deliver data-led quality assurance, using insights to identify trends, improve controls and drive continuous improvement in change outcomes.
- Experience using IT service management tools such as ServiceNow to support end-to-end Change Enablement governance, reporting and assurance processes.
