  • Join a supportive graduate community, with mentoring, guidance and networking from day one.

Scheme summary

  • Salary – £33,000 + up to 10% annual bonus + annual pay reviews and increases as you develop

  • Start date – September 2027 – earlier start dates may be available

  • Scheme length – 3 years

  • Location – Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire with hybrid working depending on business needs

  • Criteria – You’ll need at least a 2:1 degree with strong numerical or analytical components, in any subject.

About the scheme

Pricing plays a key role in setting the cost of our insurance policies. The team uses data, insight and analysis to understand risk, predict trends and ensure premiums are fair and competitive. By balancing customer needs with business goals, they help NFU Mutual stay profitable while offering great value to our customers.

Our Pricing team is forward-thinking and innovative. They use tools such as predictive modelling, machine learning and advanced data analytics to support commercial growth projects, trend analysis, street pricing and market benchmarking. They’re also involved in strategic internal initiatives, helping shape the future of our business.

When you join our Pricing Analyst Graduate Scheme, you’ll be part of a supportive culture and a strong graduate community from day one. You’ll learn from others, share experiences and develop alongside your peers, with mentorship, continuous learning and hands-on experience that will stretch and challenge you.

You’ll also develop skills linked to NFU Mutual’s My Development Framework — from technical expertise and problem solving to collaboration, communication and customer focus — preparing you for a long-term career with us. You may also have the chance to work towards professional qualifications in areas such as Data Science, supporting your training and career development.

You’ll be based in Stratford-upon-Avon, with hybrid working depending on business needs. Regular office time will help you collaborate with your team and learn from experienced colleagues.

Please note this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship as it does not fulfil the criteria set by the Home Office. This is a three-year programme. Candidates must have, or be able to obtain, permission to work in the UK in a way that enables them to undertake the role and complete the programme.

If you need any adjustments during the recruitment process, please let us know. We’ll work with you to understand what support would help you perform at your best.

Please apply as soon as you can. If we receive enough applications, we may close this vacancy early.

What you can expect

Over the three-year scheme, you’ll learn about different areas of insurance pricing and take on a wide range of responsibilities, including:

  • Extracting, cleaning and analysing data to support pricing models

  • Carrying out detailed analysis, such as performance testing and finding the causes of issues, to help improve our data and models

  • Refining and running pricing models, then reporting results to support business decisions

  • Developing rating logic to help achieve effective pricing outcomes

  • Implementing quality control processes to ensure our models and data deliver the expected results

  • Preparing reports, sharing findings, answering queries and taking ownership of follow-up actions

  • Providing excellent service to both the team and business stakeholders

You’ll also have opportunities to take part in projects and change initiatives.

We’ll support your career development throughout the scheme with a structured plan, performance reviews twice a year, and the potential for competitive salary increases and progression. Join us and you can help shape the future of pricing at NFU Mutual.

Application process

If your application is shortlisted, there are three stages:

  1. Online assessment – to help us understand how you learn and solve problems.

  2. Video interview – a short interview to learn more about you.

  3. Assessment centre – an in-person day where you’ll take part in activities such as a group exercise, a role-specific tack and a skills-based interview.

The assessment centres will be held on Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th December at our Head office in Stratford Upon Avon, Warwickshire.

Your future

This scheme is designed to help you build your skills, and work towards recognised qualifications. We’ll support you to gain the knowledge and experience you need for a successful career.

You’ll be supported by experienced colleagues, a dedicated buddy and a mentor who will help you maximise your development and career opportunities. You’ll also be part of a strong graduate community, with opportunities to connect with current and former graduates, build your network and learn from others on similar schemes.

As you come towards the end of the scheme, a careers coach will help you think about your next role and plan your next steps.

It’s not all about work either. We encourage our graduates to get involved in extracurricular activities, from volunteering and organising charity or social events to representing NFU Mutual at industry events, all in line with our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) framework.

At NFU Mutual, we support an inclusive workplace and value all the differences that make us unique. We celebrate the creativity and innovation that comes from diverse perspectives and experiences and share a common vision of doing the right thing for our customers and employees.

We recognise that some candidates may experience barriers during the recruitment process. So, we encourage candidates to discuss any adjustments or accommodations they need to be the best they can be throughout our recruitment process.

We're proud to be a Disability Confident Employer, a Race at Work and Women in Finance Charter signatory and welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, regardless of age, ethnicity, disability, neurodiversity, gender, religion, marital status, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background.

What we're looking for

Qualifications and skills

You’ll need to have achieved, or be on track for, at least a 2:1 degree. We welcome applications from a wide range of degree subjects, not just STEM.

This scheme could suit you if your studies have helped you develop confidence working with numbers, analysing information or solving problems. This could include subjects such as economics, business, finance, geography, psychology, politics, sociology, history or linguistics. Most importantly, you’ll be curious, motivated and keen to learn.

To help you succeed on the scheme, you’ll bring:

  • Teamwork and collaboration skills – working well with others and sharing insights to help tackle pricing challenges

  • Communication skills – presenting complex information and recommendations clearly to stakeholders

  • Analytical skills – using data and analysis to identify trends and improve pricing models

  • Digital literacy – being open to learning tools such as Emblem, Radar, R, SQL and Python

  • Problem-solving ability – thinking creatively and finding practical solutions to complex challenges

  • Self-motivation and adaptability – taking initiative on projects and adjusting well to change

If you can bring these qualities, we can help you develop the rest.

Work experience

Industry experience or a placement year would be a real advantage, but it isn’t essential. What matters most is that you’ve had some experience of work where you’ve been able to interact with people, build your communication skills and learn how to work well with others.

Benefits and Rewards

When you join our team, you can expect a supportive culture and an attractive range of rewards and benefits including:

  • Salary - £33,000

  • Annual bonus (up to 10% of salary)

  • Contributory pension scheme, up to 20%, including your 8% contribution

  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays + buy/sell/save holiday trading scheme

  • A Family Friendly policy that helps you balance your work and family responsibilities

  • Access to savings at High Street brands, travel and supermarkets

  • £20 contribution to a monthly gym membership – subject to T&Cs

  • Health and wellbeing plan - cashback for dentist, opticians, physio and more

  • Access to voluntary benefits, including health assessments, private medical insurance and dental insurance

  • Employee Volunteering - volunteer in the community for one day each year

  • Unlimited access to Refer a Friend £500 bonus scheme

  • Life Assurance cover of 4 x salary

  • Employee discounts of 15% on a range of NFU Mutual insurance policies.
