About the role

At NFU Mutual, you’ll join a Financial Services risk team that helps ensure our Life products, processes and reporting meet regulatory, legislative and business requirements. Reporting to the Senior FS Risk Consultant, you’ll work within a small team covering risk, regulatory and customer activities.

This is a varied role where you’ll identify and assess current and emerging risks, monitor risk events and help implement an effective control framework. You’ll support regulatory reporting, assurance activities and interpret changes in legislation and industry guidance so that systems, processes and documentation remain compliant and reflect best practice.

You’ll manage several workstreams, respond to changing priorities and provide clear guidance to colleagues and senior stakeholders. You’ll also have opportunities to broaden your experience through related work and projects across the wider department, with ongoing support and a career route through senior roles in the team.

This role is based in our Stratford upon Avon office. We understand how important a positive work life balance is, so to help you give your best, we offer great facilities when you want to be in an office environment and support to work 60% of your hours from home.

About you

You’re an organised and discreet professional who communicates technical information clearly, builds effective stakeholder relationships and manages competing priorities with confidence. You use sound judgement when information is incomplete, present concise conclusions, follow regulatory requirements and take ownership of delivering accurate work on time.

• Experience of risk management within Financial Services


• Understanding of regulatory requirements and Financial Conduct Authority frameworks


• Knowledge of cyber risk, platform related risk &/or client money and asset safeguarding risk


• Experience of technical reporting from business systems and analysing data


• Experience of delivering projects or process improvements in a customer focused environment
