About the role
As a Claims Inspector at NFU Mutual, you investigate liability claims, gathering evidence and reporting clear recommendations that support fair and timely outcomes for customers. Working as part of a regional team, you manage your own caseload and plan your time to meet agreed service levels while maintaining high technical standards.
You work directly with customers and liaise with our claims colleagues, your findings and reports enable informed decisions on liability, settlement and next steps. The role covers the South of England between Portsmouth and Hastings, the M4 corridor and to the outskirts of SW London, with travel across the region as part of your day-to-day work.
NFU Mutual supports your development through mentoring and access to experienced colleagues within the claims inspector community. The breadth of work and exposure across claims creates opportunities to progress into senior technical, regional or management roles.
About you
You are an experienced claims professional with a strong background in investigating and handling liability claims. You bring sound judgement, confidence in managing complex conversations, and the ability to produce clear, well-structured reports.

• Proven experience handling employer liability and public liability claims
• Strong investigation and evidence gathering skills, including report writing
• The ability to manage your own workload and meet service level agreements
• Clear and effective communication with customers and professional stakeholders
• Broad general insurance knowledge, with personal injury claims experience
