Job Description :
Bidding is a very reactive discipline, which means we have to quickly adapt to what is being asked of us from both our clients and our internal stakeholders. You will need to be flexible in taking on different tasks every day and not be phased by last minute changes and tight deadlines.
Every tender or proposal we complete creates a new team of different people. Therefore, we need someone who can communicate effectively, develop an ability to follow high-level strategy conversations about bidding, and be comfortable supporting the rest of our team in managing a timely bid process.


Your responsibilities will include:


• Understanding our processes and supporting the bid team to follow them.

• Organizing kick-off meetings, maintain the bid book and driving the tender process from receipt to submission
• Implementing document version control, maintaining templates, and updating the proposal content library
• Producing non-technical content, coordinating graphics/layout, and assembling final documents.
• Manage CVs and tailor for each opportunity
• Developing and coordinating bid programmes, including scheduling meetings, managing invitations and attendance
• Compiling company information to support pre-qualification questionnaire submissions
• Providing support to the bid managers/writers by liaising with appropriate departments and specialists to obtain relevant information/details to allow written solutions to be developed
• Assisting in the production of best in class bid quality answers, CVs and evidence
• Proof-reading and checking bid documents
• Formatting bid responses, including graphic design and layout

Candidate Specification:
You will have an exceptional eye for detail, be extremely organised and have very good written English skills.

Essential:
• Highest level of attention to detail
• Excellent writing skills - with a specific focus on attention to detail and ability to review text for spelling and grammar
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills
• Experience of supporting bid creation and tender submissions for international and UK markets.
• Able to actively participate in proposal meetings as well as providing appropriate challenge around the implementation of the internal bidding processes
• Flexible attitude to undertake a wide range of tasks
• Good team-working skills and the ability to function effectively in a small team with individual responsibilities and collective goals

Preferable (not essential):
• APMP membership or certification (desirable)
• Experience in bid preparation / bid management / business development
• Experience in bid management and response processes, such as Shipley
• Professional services or construction background
