We are looking for an experienced leader who will continue develop the maintenance operations of the chocolate plant in Oslo and ensure that the site manufacturing can operate without interruption.
Purpose of the role
The Asset and Reliability Manager will lead and develop the full maintenance, asset management, and facility operations at our chocolate factory in Oslo. This is a key leadership role within the site leadership team, with full accountability for a team of 26 employees across maintenance, assets, and facility management.
The role will be instrumental in building and advancing Preventative and Predictive Maintenance strategies in cooperation with key stakeholders. You will drive an exciting change journey implementing and renewing the Progressive Maintenance Pillar within the IL6S program (Integrated Lean Six Sigma), while fostering a strong equipment reliability culture across the organization.
Main responsibilities
- Works cross functionally to develop and implement a strategic asset and reliability road-map and annual operating plan by partnering with internal & external stakeholders and service providers to define and meet Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability, and Engagement goals.
- Establish strong governance to review & control operational performance and continuous improvement plans to deliver against best in class both internally and externally.
- Lead and be accountable for all maintenance, asset, and facility operations. Ensure adherence to business continuity plans, manufacturing standards, and government regulations. Ensure these are understood by all employees and service providers at the site, regularly reviewed and monitored for effective implementation.
- Provide leadership and coaching to the maintenance and facility team towards implementation of IL6S-Integrated Lean 6 Sigma ways of working: delivering zero breakdowns via preventive and predictive maintenance strategies and technical mastery of maintenance and operations teams; PM (Progressive Maintenance) Pillar, CBM (Condition Based Monitoring), Visual Controls & Tools Management, Lubrication Management & Calibration of equipment, etc.
- As a member of the site leadership team, role model values and principles through effective coaching, mentoring, and capability building across the plant technical team. Engage with latest modern practices and have a clear people succession and resource plan, identifying and implementing critical levers to attract, retain, and develop critical talent.
- Manage and develop your team and team structure, ensuring the right competencies, engagement, and structure are in place to deliver on current and future business needs.
- Interface with key stakeholders internally and externally to develop and maintain effective relationships, align priorities in order to deliver the company objectives and goals.
What you will bring

- Fluency in a Scandinavian language and English, both verbal and written, is required for this role.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills in a team-based environment.
- Proven experience leading and developing larger teams, with the ability to coach and build capability at all levels.
- 7 years + in relevant experience with people leadership experience
- A solid understanding of Norwegian laws and regulations pertaining to asset management, reliability, maintenance, and electrical works is essential.
- Strong financial & business acumen and project management skills.
- Knowledge of industrial maintenance and manufacturing equipment, PM (Progressive Maintenance) expertise, SAP PM module end user knowledge (or equivalent), Technology & Engineering automation basics.
- Experience in TPM-Total Productive Maintenance, 5S, LEAN, Six Sigma tools and concepts, Safety & GMP standards are an advantage.
- Strong operational & manufacturing leadership experience in Fast Moving Consumer Goods, Food Production, or Manufacturing industry is an advantage.
- Experience with facility management is considered an advantage.
