As part of the local subsidiary, you will support our SMB segmented customers achieve their business objectives through the implementation of our world class Microsoft Cloud services. The Small and Medium Business (SMB) segment within SMC is at the leading edge of growth and transformation. It’s a tremendous growth engine for the company dedicated to bringing the Microsoft cloud to millions of SMB customers worldwide through scalable routes to market, growing revenue, market share and net new customers while enabling a high level of customer and partner experience.

Responsibilities

The SMB Sales Lead for Business Applications has 3 key role pillars

Business Management

  • Orchestrates the SMB sales strategy, planning and execution in the respective geography for our Business Applications Cloud business.
  • Monitor performance, identify growth opportunities and synthesize learnings to inform and improve future execution. Land the worldwide SMB strategy and narrative through the relevant sales engines, localising plans, leveraging the programs and investments available to drive the business forward.

Sales Management

  • Ensure our execution is creating scale across our sales engines whilst also identifying and supporting key strategic sized deals enabling excellent pipeline management and hygiene.
  • Support the landing of our sales methodology and aligned solution plays across our engines with a focus on the partnership with our GPS (global partner sales) organisation.
  • Looking across the business, strive to deliver a well interlocked plan with key stakeholders to deliver new cloud customer acquisition and SMB sales growth ahead of budget.

Thought Leadership & Strategy

  • Be the advocate for the voice of our SMB customers in the region both internally and externally.
  • Be a trusted business advisor to our key Microsoft partners, supporting key events and GTM plans to ensure our key market research, messages, solutions and sales programs reach our customers.
  • Invest in relationships with key market influences (i.e. SMB banks, societies, chambers of commerce) to keep close to the SMB customer needs to support their journey to the cloud.
  • Own the pipeline of customer case studies to enable us to amplify the results of great digital transformation.

Qualifications

Required qualifications: Enterprise and/or Channel Sales. Experience selling business to business IT solutions and meeting revenue targets.

  • Self-starter with a track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Demonstrable sales hygiene & deal excellence discipline, using sales methods, processes and tools
  • Desire to work in a competitive environment where growth potential is driven by one’s abilities and attitude
  • Ability to work independently with a high level of integrity
  • Leading, partnering and orchestrating with virtual teams of experts
  • Strategic thinking & execution. Ability to develop sales and business strategy options, while also being able to successfully execute complex opportunities.
  • Collaboration. Experienced in orchestrating and leading virtual teams to develop and drive sales through various engines.
  • Growth Mindset. Ability to overcome and work around problems that are inevitable in rapidly growing businesses – positive approach to problem solving, learning, and development.
  • Purposeful Planner & Executor – Delivers business impact with intentional planning, driving clarity to the team with consistent coaching rhythms, removing blockers and ensuring quarterly business budget goals are met.
