Job Description

Overview
Microsoft AI is looking for a talented Mobile Engineer (iOS or Android) to help build the next generation of health capabilities for Copilot — our personalized AI companion. Within the Health AI team, our mission is to help millions of people better understand and proactively manage their health and wellbeing. We are responsible for ensuring that Microsoft AI’s models and services are useful, trusted, and safe across diverse customer health journeys, translating cutting‑edge research into real‑world products used by millions across Copilot and Microsoft’s consumer ecosystem. Take a look here to see the progress: Introducing Copilot Health

As part of the Product Engineering team, you will build and evolve the core Copilot experience across iOS or Android — collaborating closely with Product Management, Design, AI Research, and clinical teams. Our goal is to translate cutting-edge research—like MAI-DxO (microsoft.ai/new/the-path-to-medical-superintelligence)—into transformative products for millions of users across copilot.com and Microsoft’s consumer ecosystem.

You’ll operate in a fast‑paced, iterative environment to bring innovative mobile‑first AI experiences to life — helping bridge advanced research and product delivery to shape the future of personal health computing. Microsoft AI spans Copilot, Bing, Edge, and generative AI research, and is dedicated to advancing consumer AI products that empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. We operate with a growth mindset and build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability — creating a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive.

  • Care deeply about building outstanding, consumer‑grade mobile applications
  • Build and ship high‑quality iOS or Android applications for Copilot

  • Navigate ambiguity and roadblocks to deliver value to users quickly and iteratively
  • Thrive in a fast‑paced, design‑driven product development cycle
  • Embody Microsoft’s Culture and Values

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or similar experience building mobile applications
  • Strong coding experience in one or more of:
    • iOS: Swift, Objective‑C
    • Android: Kotlin, Java
  • Experience shipping production mobile apps used by customers

Preferred Experience

  • Advanced degree or equivalent senior‑level industry experience
  • Experience building mobile applications from scratch
  • Strong understanding of mobile architecture, design patterns, and UI/UX principles
  • Contributions to open‑source projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to work cross‑functionally
  • Passion for learning and staying current with mobile development, AI, and emerging technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to a positive, inclusive engineering culture
