Job Description

Overview

Step into a sales role unlike any other — one where you win business by helping customers see what they haven't yet imagined. As an AI Workforce Specialist in the AI Business Solutions Financial Services team, you'll own senior commercial relationships at some of the United Kingdom's largest and most influential financial institutions, selling Microsoft's most advanced AI solutions through exactly the kind of trusted, consultative conversations that turn ambition into signed, adopted deals.

This is a consultative, value-led sales role. You'll start from each customer's real business problems — workforce challenges, board-level priorities, the shift to humans and AI agents working side by side — and translate them into solutions customers choose to buy, scale, and stand behind. It's a quota-carrying role at the frontier of AI: your commercial results will directly shape industry-first deployments of Microsoft's most advanced programmes, from Copilot to Agent 365, and influence decisions that affect tens of thousands of people. You'll join a team that thrives on selling into territory that has no established playbook, and you'll grow fast at the intersection of business and technology.

At Microsoft, our mission to empower every person and every organisation on the planet to achieve more guides how we partner with customers to deliver trusted, impactful solutions. With a growth-mindset culture, we innovate responsibly and measure success by shared progress — our people, our teams, and our customers. Join us to do meaningful work that changes the world and helps shape what's next for everyone.

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow senior commercial relationships across your financial services accounts — building pipeline and expanding Microsoft's footprint through AI- and cloud-led solutions.
  • Qualify, advance, and close complex, board-level opportunities — orchestrating multi-stakeholder deals from first conversation through to signed commitment and successful adoption.
  • Sell consultatively: lead with the customer's workforce, transformation, and business challenges, and connect them to the Microsoft solutions (Copilot Cowork, Agent 365, and beyond) that deliver measurable, defensible value.
  • Build and execute account and territory strategies that drive sustainable revenue, long-term partnership, and lasting customer trust.
  • Use AI-driven market intelligence to spot white space, shape your pursuit strategy, and focus on the opportunities with the greatest commercial and customer impact.
  • Lead value-based conversations around digital labour, organisational change, governance, security, and new workforce models — helping customers commit to change and realise the value they've invested in.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in technology sales, solution or services selling, or account management — or equivalent experience gained through other routes.

Preferred Qualifications:

We're more interested in what you can do than in how you got here and we don't expect any one person to bring all of the below. You may be a strong fit if you have several of:

  • A consultative selling style - you build trust, understand deeply before you pitch, and win by solving real customer problems rather than pushing product.
  • Experience carrying commercial targets or owning account growth, in whatever form that has taken.
  • Experience selling into or working alongside financial services, or another regulated industry.
  • A talent for translating complex or emerging technology into clear business value and commercial outcomes.
  • Genuine curiosity about AI and the future of work, and the confidence to sell in fast-moving, ambiguous situations.
  • Awareness of governance, risk, security, or compliance considerations relevant to regulated customers.
  • A track record of orchestrating complex, long-cycle enterprise deals with many stakeholders, including at senior or board level.

Solution Area Specialists IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across United Kingdom is £ 74,400.00 - £ 105,900.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
