Here at Chessington World of Adventures we are gearing up for our 2026 Season and we are looking for Zoo Education Hosts to join the team!

As a zoo Education Host, you will deliver scheduled talks to our guests about our animals, as well as providing informal education through direct guest interaction, games and activities around the resort.

The education team is also responsible to ensuring our guest facing areas are looking their best prior to opening each day to ensure a smooth and enjoyable guest experience, as well monitoring our animals for any welfare concerns and escalating this to the appropriate keeping team.

Day to day this role will include:

  • Ensure guests are engaged and enjoying educational interactions in zoo areas.
  • Perform educational talks using a portable PA system to engage guests.
  • Keep our zoo areas clean and tidy.
  • Monitor zoo areas to ensure guest and animal safety.
  • Assist the education officer with formal education activities when required.

Qualifications & Experience

We need you to come with is the right positive attitude, enjoy working as part of a team, in a fast-paced environment, and be able to deliver jaw dropping fun to our Guests!

  • 16+
  • Whilst we do not require any formal qualifications or experience for this role, the following would be desirable:
    • People with a passion for animals and enjoy learning about them.
    • Enjoyment in educating the public.
    • Confidence in public speaking, especially with large crowds.
    • Confidence in teaching children.
    • Interest in animal conservation and education.
    • A people person who is happy to engage with guests.
    • Effective communicators.
    • Strong initiative.

From GBP £8.00/Hr.
