Infrastructure Project Manager
Location: London/Hybrid
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract: Permanent - Salaried
The Infrastructure Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering infrastructure projects focused on core network, server, and cloud technologies. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, securely within scope, and aligned with organisational standards and strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
Project Delivery
- Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of infrastructure projects, including network upgrades, server deployments, and cloud migrations.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in partnership with key stakeholders.
Planning & Governance
- Build clear project plans, schedules, and resource allocations to ensure smooth and timely delivery.
- Ensure all work adheres to governance frameworks, security standards, and change management processes.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the central point of contact for project stakeholders, providing clear communication and regular updates.
- Work closely with internal engineering teams (network, server, cloud) and external vendors.
- Coordinate a blend of internal and external resources to deliver successful project outcomes.
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify risks early and put effective mitigation plans in place.
- Address issues quickly to keep projects on track and aligned with key milestones.
Budget & Reporting
- Manage project budgets, monitor spend, and track financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and present progress reports to senior leadership.
Operational Handover
- Ensure all solutions are fully documented and smoothly transitioned to Operational teams for long‑term support.
- Deliver knowledge‑transfer sessions and confirm operational readiness before project closure.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in managing infrastructure projects, ideally within large-scale enterprise environments.
- Proven experience of working on construction sites and technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of network architecture, server technologies, and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Strong understanding of structured cabling and other physical infrastructure.
- Excellent knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Project Management certification (PRINCE2, PMP, or similar).
