What you'll bring to the team
Join Thorpe Park Resort as a Senior Ride Operator & Trainer, where you'll help deliver safe, efficient, and memorable guest experiences while supporting the development of our Ride Operations team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced operator with a passion for leadership, training, and maintaining high operational standards in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience within Ride Operations, attractions, leisure, hospitality, or a similar operational environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, train, and motivate team members to achieve high standards.
- A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and confidently resolving guest issues when they arise.
- A proactive approach to safety, with a strong understanding of the importance of compliance and operational procedures.
- The ability to support daily attraction operations, monitor performance, and assist in maintaining efficient ride throughput.
- Confidence in carrying out assessments, providing feedback, and supporting the ongoing development of colleagues.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A flexible and adaptable approach, with a willingness to support operational needs across the wider resort.
- A commitment to continuous improvement, taking ownership of tasks and driving high standards across the team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience leading, supervising, or mentoring a team.
- Experience delivering training, coaching, or assessing team members.
- Strong customer service experience within a guest-facing environment.
- Understanding of health and safety responsibilities within an operational setting.
- Experience managing operational challenges and making decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience dealing with guest feedback and escalations is desirable.
- A genuine passion for developing people and delivering operational excellence.
