Are you passionate about marine life, education, and creating unforgettable experiences for guests? Join our SEA LIFE team as a Part-Time Education Associate and help bring the wonders of the ocean to life through engaging presentations, interactive experiences, and meaningful guest interactions.
In this role, you'll inspire guests of all ages through educational talks, animal encounters, and hands-on learning opportunities while helping maintain the highest standards of safety, guest service, and animal welfare.
What You'll Do
- Deliver engaging educational talks, demonstrations, and interactive guest experiences throughout the aquarium.
- Share knowledge about marine animals, conservation, and aquatic ecosystems with guests of all ages.
- Create memorable experiences through exceptional guest service and positive interactions.
- Interpret exhibit information and educational materials for individuals, families, school groups, and large audiences.
- Monitor and report animal conditions, with a focus on safety and wellbeing in interactive exhibit areas, including touch pools.
- Handle guest questions, crowd management, and service recovery situations professionally and confidently.
- Follow all safety procedures, operational standards, and animal handling protocols.
- Assist with animal interactions, including handling animals such as snakes, following established procedures.
- Communicate operational, staffing, facility, and safety concerns to leadership as needed.
- Support team operations, including providing timely break coverage and collaborating with other departments.
- Help maintain a welcoming, energetic, and engaging environment throughout the aquarium.
Qualifications & Experience
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Coursework in science, education, biology, marine science, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong public speaking and communication skills with the ability to engage both small and large groups.
- Passion for education, conservation, and guest engagement.
- Ability to work effectively with children and families.
- Excellent guest service and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented.
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in a zoo, aquarium, museum, nature center, camp, or informal learning environment.
- Experience working with children or educational programs.
- Animal handling experience.
Schedule & Availability
- Part-time position.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay Range
