Frontline Host

LEGOLAND California Resort | Carlsbad, CA

Candidates must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role.

Availability Requirement: Candidates must have weekday availability and be available to work at least one weekend day on a regular basis. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak operating periods is required.

As a Frontline Host, you'll help create unforgettable experiences for guests across Admissions, Attractions, Retail, and Guest Experiences. From welcoming families at the front gate to supporting rides, shows, and retail locations, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional guest service while maintaining a safe and fun environment.

What You'll Do

Guest Entry & Admissions

  • Welcome guests and create a positive first impression.
  • Scan tickets and memberships and assist with ticket sales.
  • Conduct bag checks and support accessibility needs.
  • Help resolve ticketing and entry concerns with Guest Services and Leadership.

Retail Operations

  • Assist guests with merchandise purchases.
  • Operate point-of-sale systems and process transactions.
  • Maintain stock levels, displays, and store cleanliness.
  • Recommend products and enhance the guest experience.

Attractions & Rides

  • Monitor play areas and attractions.
  • Learn and follow ride operating and safety procedures.
  • Assist guests and provide clear operational instructions.
  • Maintain focus and professionalism in a busy environment.

Entertainment & Experiences

  • Support shows, educational activities, and LEGO® building experiences.
  • Assist with guest flow and venue operations.
  • Help prepare and maintain guest areas through cleanliness, safety checks, and restocking supplies.

Qualifications & Experience

What We're Looking For

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a theme park, hospitality, retail, entertainment, recreation, or guest-facing environment.
  • Previous guest service experience.
  • Experience operating point-of-sale systems.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong guest service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Ability to remain focused and attentive in busy operational settings.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to act quickly during operational or emergency situations.
  • Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to incidents and safety concerns.

Education

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Working Environment

  • Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Exposure to different temperatures, humidity levels, and floor surfaces.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and movement throughout the Resort.
  • Exposure to high guest volumes and varying noise levels.
  • May be exposed to food allergens.

  • Manual Dexterity (hands/fingers): Typing, handling small objects, tools, handling cardboard-Frequently 100%

  • Vision Requirements: close vision, distance, color vision, depth perception-Frequently 100%

  • Noise Exposure: Moderate-Frequently, Loud-Frequently 100%

  • Temperature Exposure: Indoor / Outdoor / Seasonal variations / Extreme conditions, anywhere from 25 degrees to 101 degrees. Frequently 100%

  • Work Environment: wet surfaces, heights, confined spaces, chemicals, working both indoors and outdoors Frequently 100%
