Job Summary:
The Guest Experience Host role provides excellent customer service to all guests entering the attraction by providing them with knowledge about all the products the attraction has to offer through positive guest interactions. Seeking exceptional guest interaction at every opportunity. There are four areas of an attraction where the Guest Experience Host can be assigned: Admissions, Retail, Guest Experience/Ride Operators, and Food and Beverage.
Key Responsibilities, depending on area assigned:
• Greet and welcome guests with eye contact and a smile.
• Answer questions about attraction ticket packages and pricing.
• Direct and assist guests on kiosk purchases.
• Sell/Scan tickets and annual passes at point of sale.
• Learn and execute upselling sales targets.
• Facilitate admission for groups, field trips, and birthday parties.
• Deliver personalized interactions to guests.
• Be “Guest Obsessed” and provide exemplary customer service.
• Be the friendly face that welcomes customers.
• Answer questions about products and provide recommendations for purchase.
• Operate point-of-sale automated systems.
• Stock merchandise.
• Understand and explain menu offerings to guests and answer questions about food products.
• Take orders and handle payment at point of sale.
• Prepare food and drinks for guests.
• Maintain food safety standards.
• Achieve revenue goals and upsell sales targets.
• Have a working knowledge on all rides/exhibits to deliver proper/correct information.
• Operate the rides.
• Usher and guide guests through the attraction.
• The above list is not exclusive or exhaustive and may require undertaking such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope and grading of the role.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
Education and Experience:
Must be at least 16 years of age. Excellent customer service skills. Enthusiasm for representing the brand. Previous transactional experience with strong interpersonal skills is preferred. Fun, Positive attitude. Strong communication skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Ability to deal with large crowds. Ability to prioritize multiple guests. Ability to maintain a high level of enthusiasm while doing repetitive work. Reliable and punctual.
Licenses and Certifications: Ability to obtain related licenses or certifications as may be required to perform the essential functions of the position or as required by law. • Ride Operators must be at least 18 years of age.
