Job Description

Join our Integration & Proving Engineering team in the Seeker division to prove that a cutting-edge RF system is able to achieve the desired performance.

Salary: Circa £35,000 - £55,000 depending on experience

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 5 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

We are looking for an individual to join an Integration & Proving Engineering team within the Seeker division. As part of this team, you will be responsible for the gathering of evidence used to confirm operation of a Seeker system. Using integration and trials techniques to understand the behaviour of the Seeker, proving the complex technical solution is achieving the correct performance.

Within the role the key responsibilities are:

  • Developing and maintaining validation and verification plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with systems, software, hardware, and firmware teams
  • Conducting proving activities across laboratory, simulation, and field environments to validate Seeker system performance
  • Analysing and interpreting test data, investigating anomalies and working with design teams to identify root causes
  • Preparing clear, concise, and technically robust evidence to support design verification and certification
  • Supporting design reviews and stakeholder engagements with test findings and technical insight
  • Working closely together with systems engineers to understand functional and performance requirements and translate them into suitable test approaches
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of proving processes, tools, and methods.
  • Supporting the development of bespoke test tools, including hardware rigs and automated test frameworks, where appropriate

What we're looking for from you:

Essential experience:

  • A curious mind, enthusiastic to learn about many different topics and apply learning to deliver high quality solutions, with a scientific approach to solving problems
  • Great communication skills, especially in explaining technical information and coordinating issue resolution
  • Proactive and delivery-orientated attitude, able to prioritise and remove blockers with the objective always in mind
  • Ability to build excellent working relationships
  • Desire to work in RF systems proving engineering


Desirable, but not essential experience:

  • Familiarity with testing RF, IR, or other electronic systems and sensors
  • Familiarity with tools such as Matlab, SAP, DOORS NG/ETM, Jira, MS Office or similar industry equivalents
  • Familiarity with integration and certification processes such as defining test strategy, specifications, test and trials conduct, data analysis or compliance evidence presentation
  • Awareness of Model-Based System Engineering, the processes and methods and how they relate to system integration and validation methods
