Digital Solutions Project Manager

The Digital Solutions (DS) Project Manager (PM) works with a dynamic high performing to team to develop and provide a focused approach to Project Management.

Salary: Circa £50,000 - £60,000 depending on experience

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship (delete line if not applicable).

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

The Digital Solutions (DS) Project Management (PM) plays a meaningful role working within the Digital Excellence Directorate specifically working as part of a central Portfolio & Project Management Team to develop and provide a focused approach to Project Management, whilst being mindful of the importance of a structured approach to Change Management across MBDA. This expertise will be utilised on Digital projects / programmes in a consistent way to ensure the successfully delivery of key Digital Solutions activities across MBDA.

Working in the DS PMO core team reporting to the Head of Portfolio Management & PMO each DS PM will be expected to work largely on deployment where durations will vary based on the size and complexity of each project/ programme, the PM will be seconded to Project Delivery Lead or PM deputy whilst on deployment.

Duties will include:

• Coordinate plans that enable timely delivery of projects whilst handling dependencies with other initiatives
• Lead the effective deployment of DS resources within their projects to improve business outcomes
• Collaborate internationally with colleagues in relation to their projects
• Ensure the outcomes required are achieved
• Provides monthly dashboard reports and effectively communicate any changes in scope and expected delivery.
• Effectively handle PMO tools and/or Change Management tools
• Record and handle any resulting actions and address programme shortfalls where necessary
• Feed into existing governance structures and contribute to additional forums
• Effectively handle Project Management tools and/or Change Management tools

• Broad background of a major Digital Transformation programmes, specifically project management
• Ability to make decisions, find solutions to problems and have a strategic vision – the ability to see the big picture.
• High level of interpersonal, collaborator management and communication skills, tailored at all working levels.
• A great teammate who thrives in dynamic team working environment managing multiple collaborator needs.
• Ability to lead by influence, across a sophisticated fast paced programme and adapt to meet the needs / contribute to the successful delivery of differing Digital Solutions projects/programmes.
