
Digital Solutions Enterprise Services Domain Lead
Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Digital Solutions team, responsible for deploying, managing and supporting MBDA’s Enterprise Services Applications.
We are looking for an experienced, adaptable IT professional to take on the role of Enterprise Services Domain Lead. In this position, you will lead both new and existing initiatives, working with customers and partners across national and international teams to solve complex business challenges – from initial evaluation and solution scoping through to successful deployment. You will also be responsible for the lifecycle management and continual improvement of existing enterprise services.
Salary: Circa £60-£65k depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 1-2 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced and collaborative professional to manage relationships with customers, suppliers and key stakeholders across our growing business. You will be responsible for coordinating technical resources to deliver enterprise applications and services on time, to budget and to the required quality standards.
This role requires an effective communicator and influencer who can build strong relationships across technical and business teams. Working closely with Project Managers, Integration Specialists and other Domain Leads, you will play a key role in improving the quality, consistency and repeatability or our enterprise application services across the organisation.
What you will be responsible for
As the Enterprise Services Domain Lead you will:
Act as the primary owner and point of contact for the applications and services within your domain, managing stakeholder relationships, budgets and programmes of work.
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and identify the most appropriate technical solutions to meet current and future needs.
Lead the evaluation, scoping and selection of new technologies and services, developing proposals through to business case approval and utilising internal RFI/RFP processes where appropriate.
Define solution architectures, ensuring stakeholders have a clear understanding of solution structure, functionality, behaviour and implementation approach.
Define solution features, delivery phases and business and technical requirements.
Ensure applications and services within your domain remain compliant with MBDA security standards, regulatory requirements and risk management policies throughout their lifecycle.
Work collaboratively with the Head of Enterprise Services and fellow Domain Leads to manage and continually improve the Application Management Service.

What we're looking for from you:
Experience of enterprise application lifecycle management of information systems including validation, testing, release and deployment, as well as operational support and maintenance.
Ability to coordinate resources, internal and external with, a good level of technical competence to ensure solutions comply with the operational and security standards required for the defence industry.
Proven Business Analyst and Project Management skills with the ability to articulate technical information to different audiences. Able to communicate verbally and in writing to articulate problems and solutions in business language
You will be organised, yet have an adaptable attitude to problem solving.
