Job Description:

The Target Pay Range for this position is $ 253,700 to $ 317,100 annually. At Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training and budget.

This position is based in Loveland, CO.

The Vice President, Software & Digital Solutions R&D will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of all software and digital product development efforts within the R&D function of Antech, a global animal health diagnostics company. This executive leader will oversee the development of customer-facing software solutions that support diagnostics platforms, digital workflows, and cloud-based ecosystems, ensuring best-in-class user experience, compliance, and integration with veterinary practice management systems. The role requires a hands-on, customer-obsessed leader with a strong background in agile software development, digital product innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the strategic roadmap for customer-facing software and digital R&D solutions aligned with business and veterinary customer needs.

  • Build and manage a high-performing, cross-functional software R&D organization including product management, software engineering, UX/UI design, and digital quality assurance.

  • Oversee end-to-end development of web, mobile, and cloud-based solutions that interface with diagnostic instruments and platforms.

  • Ensure seamless integration with practice management software, laboratory information systems, and partner APIs.

  • Champion agile development methodologies and drive a continuous delivery culture.

  • Partner with commercial, marketing, and customer experience teams to incorporate user feedback, voice of customer, and market insights into the product roadmap.

  • Act as the executive sponsor for digital innovation initiatives, data analytics, remote diagnostics, and connected devices.

  • Manage budgets, vendor partnerships, and resource planning to deliver on-time, scalable software solutions.

  • Represent the software and digital function in leadership forums, executive reviews, and board-level discussions.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field; master’s or PhD preferred.

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in software R&D leadership, including at least 5 years at a VP or senior executive level.

  • Experience developing and delivering commercial software products, preferably in healthcare, diagnostics, medical devices, or life sciences.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture, SaaS, API integrations, and cybersecurity best practices.

  • Demonstrated success in scaling digital platforms and software teams across geographies.

  • Track record of delivering innovative, customer-centric solutions that improve user experience and clinical outcomes.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Working Conditions

The associate is regularly required to apply manual dexterity, including hand/wrist flexibility, for computer keyboarding. The associate frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is frequently required to hear and speak in order to use the telephone, make presentations and communicate with people in an office environment. The associate is occasionally required to sit and stoop, bend, kneel, or crouch.
