The position is to lead RC units compliance with tax regulations. This role will support the ICTC Poland Head in creating tax strategy and reducing tax risks and cooperate with Tax Leader in tax projects. Partners with the RC business to resolve business challenges incorporating any relevant tax considerations.

What would be your key responsibilities?

  • Collaborates with Tax Leader and Poland ICTC Head to: reduce tax risk, adapt to tax regulations changes, coordinate standardization of tax internal and external reporting, unify approach to tax issues including rulings, optimize tax payments, unify cooperation with PwC Tax advisors in Poland.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of RC income tax returns (Corporate Income Tax, Withholding tax, Information on Foreign Payments): calculate and post CIT and deferred tax, provide CIT returns, CIT-TP, CIT-ST, prepare internal CIT reporting e.g. GAM, FIN-48, cooperate with regional tax team to define value of deductible intangible services, prepare transfer pricing documentation and MDR (DAC-6 reporting).
  • Support business in any tax issues and propose to benefit from tax allowances. Review RC external and intercompany contracts to align them with tax regulations.
  • Collaborates on tax and accounting projects related to Navision or SAP S4 e.g. TaxCube, limits on intangible assets, transfer pricing changes, VAT rates change, SAF-T, e-invoicing, DAC-6, etc.
  • Monitor changes in tax law and provides practical advice managing these impacts to the business. Provides ongoing trainings and effectively shares knowledge with departments involved. Support business in making optimized decisions which may have an impact on taxes.
  • Collaborate within ICTC with PwC tax advisors and global tax team to prepare transfer pricing documentation and solve other tax issues.
  • Implements digitization of existing processes for RC units (local implementation of new tools like Alteryx, usage of globally provided tools like Power Apps, DAC-6, STAAR and others).
  • Coordinate Withholding reporting and process of obtaining required documents to use preferable tax rate (Certificate of Residence, Beneficial Owner Statements and other).
  • Implement and update obligatory tax procedures: MDR rules, tax strategy, due diligence and other.
  • Collaborate and share best practices within European statutory reporting community.
  • Collaborate effectively with local tax authorities. Manages the relationship with the local tax authorities including different queries they may have.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive tax experience, ideally gained within a multinational corporation, a shared service center, or a reputable tax advisory firm.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Law, Economics, or a related field.
  • Tax Advisor qualification or accounting certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is highly preferred.
  • Deep, up-to-date knowledge of Polish tax laws, including hands-on experience with Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Withholding Tax (WHT), and VAT.
  • Proven track record in preparing and filing complex tax returns (including CIT-TP, CIT-ST), deferred tax calculations, and statutory reporting (e.g., SAF-T / JPK, e-invoicing / KSeF).
  • Solid experience in preparing Transfer Pricing (TP) documentation and handling MDR (DAC-6) reporting.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics Navision, SAP S4 or similar ERP systems, including experience with tax-specific modules (e.g., TaxCube).
  • Strong interest or proven experience in automating tax workflows using modern data analytics and visualization tools such as Alteryx and Power Apps (or tools like Power BI, STAAR).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to support business units, review commercial and intercompany contracts, and translate complex tax changes into practical advice.
  • Fluent English and Polish (both written and spoken) are mandatory for collaborating within the European statutory community and local government bodies.
