Job Opportunity: Supply Planning Manager
Location: Castle Cary (Preferred), Slough, Paddington, Waltham
Job Type: Permanent
Reports to: S&OP+ & Planning Lead
Travel: Castle Cary every 2 weeks (If not based locally) and Copenhagen once per quarter.
Are you ready to take ownership of supply planning and lead a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment? We are seeking a capable and confident Supply Planning Manager to join our team and drive operational excellence within our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of 5 Supply Planners located across the UK and our Nordic hub in Copenhagen.
- Own the Supply Plan: Take full ownership of the end-to-end supply plan for our 700+ products, managing the flow of finished goods from our European factories to ensure optimal availability for our customers.
- Drive the S&OP+ Process: Facilitate the monthly Supply Review (SMR) as a key leader in our S&OP+ process. You will collaborate across functions to manage constraints, communicate risks, and ensure business alignment.
- Build strong relationships with top customers and internal stakeholders, including Supply Chain Directors, Logistics Managers, Customer Service Managers, Sales Teams, and Marketing Teams.
- Champion Improvement: Challenge the status quo by driving continuous improvement in our planning processes and systems, leveraging tools like FuturMaster and Power BI to make us more efficient and effective.
About you
- An Experienced Leader: You have a proven track record of managing and developing a team within a fast-paced supply chain environment.
- Proactive Problem-Solver: You are a creative and analytical thinker who can solve challenges and drive change.
- Functional Expertise: You have deep functional knowledge of supply planning and are skilled at influencing cross-functional teams.
- A Natural Collaborator: You are a team player with excellent communication skills, capable of building strong relationships.
- Technical Skills: Experienced user of core Supply & Demand planning system e.g. (FuturMaster, SAP, OMP). Excellent Microsoft Office & Excel experience.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
- Mindset: Self-starter who can hit the ground running without extensive hand-holding.
