Senior Flavor Analytical Scientist

Job Description:

As an Analytical Chemistry & Flavor Scientist, you will drive flavor analysis and data interpretation to unlock key raw material and product performance insights across pet food innovations as well as to steer quality and business resilience. In this role, you will guide advanced analytical workflows and collaborating with internal data scientists and external global experts to advance our regional and global R&D capabilities.

What are we looking for?

• Degree in Analytical Sciences (or related field) with a background in food or flavor chemistry.
• Expertise in flavor analytics & data science, including advanced techniques like GC-MS, GC-Olfactometry, and LC-MS, along with modern data interpretation methods.
• Proven project management skills with experience delivering complex technical projects independently.
• Flavor chemistry in food matrices experience, specifically analyzing aroma and taste-active compounds in complex food matrices (Nice-to-have / Preferred).

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Drive Strategic Capability & Methods: Define and execute internal/external analytical strategies, guiding the development of state-of-the-art methods (e.g., aroma and non-volatile analysis) to maintain a cutting-edge facility.
• Deliver Actionable Data Insights: Partner closely with in-house data scientists to interpret complex analytical data and translate findings into insights that enhance product performance, drive raw material quality and enable business decisions.
• Manage External & Cross-Functional Interfaces: Serve as the primary technical interface for joint development projects with global academic partners, research groups, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
