Job Description:

As we work to transform and optimize Mars, a new program has been mobilized by the Mars leadership team. The program is focused on the design and implementation of SAP S/4Hana in Mars across Segments (Petcare, Corporate, Snacking & Food). Much more than a simple “Lift and Shift,” this program will undertake a major process simplification and harmonization scope as we digitally transform our business.

The program is focused primarily on eight mega process areas: Finance, Source to Pay (procurement and vendor mgmt.), Plan to Fulfill (manufacturing and distribution), Lead to Cash (order processing and payment), Governance, Engage to Consume (marketing), Idea to Market (R&D), and Recruit to Retire (HR). This transformation requires thought leadership, quality decision making, deep technical know-how, and an ability to navigate complex business challenges while applying a holistic and multi-disciplinary approach to each of these mega processes. As part of program, a new role has been created to manage all core data activities related to the SAP S/4Hana landscape. This role is a critical leadership role demanding a balanced blend of technical expertise and strategic thinking. This role is responsible for the end-to-end data delivery lifecycle of SAP MDG, Data & Analytics – D&A (i.e. S4 only) and data migration solution (i.e. Syniti), including design, development, and implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational data governance principles and objectives.

What are we looking for?

  • 10+ years in SAP Data Management, Migration, or Governance roles.
  • Have an IT background with at least experience of 3 ERP/SAP Development, Implementation or Transformation projects in a leading or coordinating role
  • SAP MDG/Syniti/SNP Certifications
  • Data Modelling and Analytics SAC Certifications
  • Data Migration Cockpit experience
  • Have profound knowledge of data migration, management processes and standards
  • Successfully delivered complex and large-scale data migration, data & analytics and SAP MDG program, including global template deployments, across diverse industries and geographies.
  • Deep knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA Data Migration, MDG modules, technical architecture, and data governance best practices is crucial.
  • Excellent understanding of S/4HANA product roadmap and knowledge of relevant delivery methods for SAP (waterfall, hybrid agile, agile)
  • Be very well organized with experience in effectively setting deadlines, delegating and assigning responsibilities followed by monitoring, summarizing, aligning and communicating the data plans status across various stakeholder groups ensuring clear ownership is established for all activities
  • Have team player attitude and hunger to develop new professional skills combined with proactive, development-minded, and goal-focused attitude to work
  • Excellent documentation, visualization and presentation skills
  • Have experience working with System Integrator and Business Integrator, 3rd parties
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a professional manner.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Leadership & Design:

  • Lead the design and architecture of SAP S/4 HANA Data Migration, D&A and MDG solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs, industry best practices, and technical standards.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple parties at all levels within the organization and with third parties.
  • Ability to help the business to link process efficiency indicators to data cleansing and quality and governance
  • Define data models, workflows, validation rules, and integration points to optimize master data management processes.
  • Establish technical strategies, standards, and best practices for SAP MDG implementations.

SAP MDG and SAP Data Migration:

  • Collaborate closely with global MDG team (responsible for build) and business stakeholders to understand and analyse requirements related to master data management, data governance, and data quality.
  • Translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications and architectural designs for SAP MDG and data migration solutions.

D&A and SAP Datasphere:

Implementation & Integration:

  • Oversee and govern the configuration and customization of SAP MDG modules to meet specific business requirements, ensuring adherence to architectural principles and design guidelines.
  • Define and implement integration strategies between SAP MDG and other SAP/non-SAP systems (including ERP and BI) using appropriate technologies (e.g., IDoc, RFC, BAPI, Web services).

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements through rigorous testing and validation.
  • Excellent relationship-building, networking and influencing skills with ability to function successfully in a team environment

Collaboration:

  • Manage cross-team and stakeholder relationships to drive collaboration and meet shared goals
