Job Description:

This role, based in Amsterdam, will lead the sales data management and insights generation to inform and enable data driven sales strategy development and decision making. Starting with the sales strategy in mind you are able to explore which data sets are needed to provide the right insights needed to develop the strategy and tracking and tracing of the follow through. The role is well connected and can bring value throughout the organization with sales, marketing, and other departments to ensure alignment and efficiency.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales Marketing or a related field with a minimum of 4 years' analytical experience, preferably in a sales environment.
  • Category experience ideally in the pet food or a related industry.
  • Results-oriented with demonstrated business skills related to goal setting, budgeting and reporting, and analytical abilities to assess and interpret results.
  • Strong experience in building data management strategies and in data and insights management
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated sales professional, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to develop and sustain successful business relationships internally and externally.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and good listening skills, with ability to work successfully with diverse groups as well as independently.
  • Computer literacy, including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Power BI and Adobe products.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Develop and own the Sales data and insights management. Collect, clean and analyze large datasets related to sales, customer behavior and market trends.
  • Design and create of complex analysis, reporting and interactive dashboards across all sales channels (direct, distributors) and internal operations (logistics, finance, MS&D)
  • To support the sales strategy and sales planning, provide data-backed recommendations for sales strategies, monitoring progress and feed data into key sales planning steps and beyond: portfolio, category, JBP and strategic planning.
  • Performance monitoring, gathering and tracking of key growth KPIs leveraging and exploring new sources of data, like Dipex, CRM, category, financial, pricing and competition etc
  • Contribute to regional projects for sales (demand planning, SRM, customer dev.) and facilitate strong collaboration with sales, marketing, and other departments to ensure alignment and efficiency.​
