Royal Canin wants to accelerate its sales capabilities, and fuel growth. The Global Sales Business Partner will focus on 4 key battlefields:

  • Enhance capabilities to accelerate performance on E-commerce and Connected Commerce (E-retail, quick & social commerce,…)

  • Drive Sales productivity and Customer experience to the next level (Perfect store execution, B2B CRM,...)

  • Contribute to mature Strategic Revenue Management capabilities

  • Enable new "Service business models"

This role will be a critical contributor to this agenda.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Build credibility and establish rapport by maintaining open communication with all internal and external stakeholders to achieve Royal Canin objectives.

  • Engaged with Functional Global and Regional teams to understand their strategies and problems and define the digital technology strategy to support the function's long-term objectives. Accountable for business value creation & Realization via digital in the demand area.

  • Contribute to shape the global sales functional strategy of the functional area, and define the Digital Technology strategic roadmap for 1 or multiple Demand capabilities that supports Global and Regional objectives.

  • Lead the functional digital technology governance meetings to align strategy, prioritize investments and unlock challenges for 1 or multiple Sales capabilities.

  • Collaborates with business sponsors and managers to create clear outcomes, scope, approach, and business case for 1 or multiple Sales capabilities.

  • Works in partnership with stakeholders from transformation programs and any other strategic initiatives to ensure alignment with the Global Functional Objectives.

  • Monitors the progression of projects through the delivery phase, working with deployment and Digital Technology teams in the regions to ensure the realization of the benefits.

  • Works with the Global Program Office and the Delivery Leads to facilitate the project approval process with the Global Steering Committee.

  • Identify, measure, track, and report on key success metrics to ensure alignment to products, business goals, and company priorities.

  • Responsible for ensuring the Functional Architecture for 1 or multiple Sales capabilities is sustainable and aligned with the corporate mandate and industry best practices.

  • Collaborates with Digital Technology Functional leaders in other segments to learn from their experience and bring any best practices that would be relevant for Royal Canin.

  • Constantly learn about the functional area inside and outside the organization. Network with external experts and vendors in the area to stay up to speed with digital trends and proactively push innovation in Royal Canin.

  • Lead a team of 1-2 Global project managers or product leads.

  • Ensures the implementation of company policies and guidelines in alignment with local legal requirements, cultural specifics, and business practices.

  • Advanced functional Knowledge in Sales, E-commerce and E-retail, Data & Analytics, Sales/Retail execution and marketing, with an understanding of brand and product, innovation, and customer engagement

  • Experience in strategy creation and execution

The role requires:

  • Good understanding of a company’s business and technology strategies and established business process areas and how technology may impact and enhance business processes.

  • 10+ years of experience in relevant business (IT or business function)

  • Able to evaluate technology, Architect a functional landscape and process alternatives.

  • Excellent written and verbal skills as well as high interpersonal skills

  • Must be customer focused with a demonstrated ability to form a productive relationship with a wide constituency, including business leaders, IT personnel, and vendors.

  • Ability to balance Global, Regional and Local tensions.

  • Strong consultative skills, problem analysis.

  • Should have a proven track record of delivering results in two or more of the following three areas:

  • Senior Stakeholder Management, Digital Technology Strategy, Project Management

  • Willingness to perform well in a highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment.

  • Experience in Design Thinking for ideation.

  • Strong project/product management skills with familiarity with a variety of tools and techniques
