Role : Quality in Distribution Technologist

Location : Hyderabad

Responsible for supporting the Market Quality Manager in deploying and implementing QFS (Quality & Food Safety) requirements across the outbound logistics operations from Mars warehouses to distributors/customers of all the sales channels (transportation, warehousing, preparation, etc.) in line with the Distribution Quality Management (DQM) and Integrated pest management (IPM) standards and drive continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site audits for the distributors in India PN outbound network and drive DQM compliance in collaboration with sales teams.

  • Conduct Logistics Quality Risk Assessments and developing mitigation plans for identified risks in the outbound network.

  • Lead distributor on-boarding program from Quality, collaborate with sales team and ensure right first time in new distributor on-boarding as per the process.

  • Identify and share best practices across the network to strengthen quality culture and operational consistency in distribution network

  • Conduct training for Sales, Distributors, and 3PL teams on Quality in Distribution requirements and standards.

  • Support the Market Quality Manager in planning and rolling out of QFS road map and DQM /IPM /5S implementation across the distributors of all the all sales channels.

  • Implement traceability, Hold and Release processes, and conduct mock recall exercises and drive continuous improvement.

  • Coordinate investigation with Distributors, sales, logistics teams on quality near misses, nonconformities, and customer complaints, ensuring timely closure within defined SLA.

  • Provide analytical inputs and operational support for achieving QFS goals.

  • Work jointly with digital service providers to implement and maintain digital tools (Power BI, Power Apps) for Quality KPI tracking and drive the continuous improvement in traceability at the distribution network.

  • Provide compliance updates and gap analysis reports from distributors.

  • Assist in organizing and conducting QFS review meetings with Sales and Distribution teams.

  • Monitor and support tracking of the Distributor Excellence Score and report performance to the Market Quality Manager.

  • Follow up on Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and support validation of their effectiveness.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing logistics and distribution quality performance.

  • Work closely with Customer Care, Sales, and Supply Chain teams to align cross-functional actions supporting quality objectives.

  • Ensure adherence to corporate and local regulatory standards during outbound storage and transport of finished goods.

Job Specifications/Qualifications

Experience & Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience of implementing quality and Food Safety management system/Standards

  • Experience of auditing (internal and external) is required

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years in QFS or Supply chain experience

  • Sound knowledge on GMP,HACCP, GDP, ISO 9001, 5S

  • A fluent English (reading, writing and speaking)

  • BTech/ M.Sc. – Food science and technology, General Science

  • Certified auditor – preferably lead auditor on FSMS, ISO 9001/22000
