Job Description

Job Description:

Product Process Specialist - Your next role at Mars?

Reporting to our Dry Care & Treats Program Leader within the Royal Canin Business Unit, you will lead high-impact projects driving Product and Technology Development. Your mission? To implement new processes, packaging, and raw materials while maintaining the gold-standard quality and nutritional performance of our existing portfolio.

You'll act as a focal point across the site, collaborating daily with Quality, Commercial, Marketing, Operations, Engineering, and Planning teams.

📍 This role is a hybrid 3x2 position, based out of our factory in Mercedes, Buenos Aires.

In this exciting role, you'll work on...

  • End-to-End Project Leadership: You will lead medium to large-scale innovation, renovation, and efficiency projects from the initial product brief all the way through to successful factory handover.

  • Factory Trials & Scale-Up Strategy: You will be hands-on on the factory floor, designing and executing trial validation plans. By analyzing this data, you'll quantify key equipment parameters, create robust process specifications (centerlines and boundaries), and manage scale-up risks to ensure a seamless introduction into the supply chain.

  • Advanced Troubleshooting & Tech Transfer: Serve as the technical SME (Subject Matter Expert). You will provide critical troubleshooting support for complex issues that go beyond the standard resources of the supply teams, and facilitate the localized implementation of new technologies rolling out from our Global Central Teams.

  • Quality, Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Partner closely with Quality & Food Safety (Q&FS) to resolve incidents, manage corrective actions, and implement rigorous standards (like FSSC). You will also oversee the preparation of vital regulatory and export dossiers.

  • Continuous Improvement & Handover: Champion the transition of new products to the operations team by leading training and documentation handovers. Additionally, you will act as a key technical consultant for site-level continuous improvement projects and capital investments to ensure stable process capabilities.

You?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related disciplines.

  • 4+ years experience of research & development in a manufacturing environment.

  • Advanced English, which will be tested during the process.

  • Experience in conducting innovation projects including implementation activities.

  • Knowledge about the impact of raw materials in nutrition, product performance and/or process capabilities.

Benefits of working at Mars?

  • An industry competitive salary and benefits package, including an important company bonus.

  • Food Service on site, with refreshments such as coffee, tea, fruits and available.

  • A strong focus on learning and development support from day one, including access to our in-house Mars University.

  • Charter transport from CABA to Mercedes.

  • Work with diverse and talented Associates, all guided by the Five Principles.

  • Join a purpose driven company, where we’re striving to build the world we want tomorrow, today.
