About the role:
We are seeking a Portfolio Director – Care & Treats to lead the strategic direction, P&L, and end-to-end deployment for our market-leading Care & Treats portfolio. In this senior role, you will have complete ownership over the growth plans for household-name brands including SCHMACKOS™, TEMPTATIONS™, PEDIGREE® DentaSTIX™, DINE® Care & Treats, and EXELPET™.
As a key member of our marketing leadership team, you will lead a dedicated team of four direct reports and partner closely with global brand communities, agency partners, and retail customers to turn consumer insights into commercial success.
What will you do?
In this role, you will lead a cross-functional, indirect team from long-term planning through to marketplace execution. Your core areas of focus will include:
- Strategic & Growth Planning: Champion the 3-Year Growth Planning process to ensure long-term Portfolio Growth Sufficiency, while remaining agile enough to seize short-term, tactical customer opportunities.
- Portfolio P&L Ownership: Manage portfolio tradeoffs to deliver on category leading innovation and business initiatives. You will drive this through the S&OP+ process, leading the C&T’s cross functional team and acting as a key player in the Portfolio Management Review (PMR).
- Integrated Communications & Localization: Collaborate with agency partners & Insights team to build insight-driven local communication platforms, and effectively adapt global brand creative for high-impact local deployment.
- Resource & ROI Optimization: Act as a "better investor" by driving best-in-class ROI across all marketing and resource investments. Champion a "learn-test-learn" culture to launch brand initiatives into new territories.
- People Leadership: Lead, coach, and inspire a direct team of 4 marketing professionals. Foster a highly engaged, accountable, and collaborative team culture.
- Global Collaboration: Actively participate in the Global Brand Communities, importing global best practices and sharing local ANZ success stories.
What will you bring?
We are seeking a collaborative, strategic thinker who can navigate complexity and influence stakeholders across a matrixed global organization.
- University graduate (business or marketing degree preferred).
- 8+ years of proven marketing experience, with a strong commercial understanding of brand management and portfolio strategy.
- 3+ years of experience in Digital Marketing, with a strong understanding of how to leverage AI, data, and technology to drive modern marketing programs.
- Strong experience building and leading effective teams, driving associate engagement, and ensuring clear accountability.
- Proven track record in creating category and brand strategies, and managing an innovation portfolio across desirability, viability, and feasibility.
