Job: Packaging Lead

Shift: 223 Days (6am - 6:30pm)

Location: Royal Canin (Fremont, NE)

Royal Canin is seeking a Packaging Lead to join our exciting pet food business at a Freemont, NE manufacturing plant. We focus on the unique needs of cats and dogs. Our obsession with detail allows us to deliver precise, effective nutrition and help them become their magnificent best.

The Packaging Lead at Royal Canin is responsible for ensuring a safe and efficient packaging department. This role involves collaborating with various plant areas to maintain production flow and overseeing critical processes such as sanitation breaks, product changeovers, and shift handovers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiency Management: Maintain packaging line efficiency according to set plans and address any deviations promptly.
  • Safety and Quality Assurance: Support peers in achieving high safety, quality, and efficiency standards in the packing hall.
  • Documentation Oversight: Consolidate and verify quality-related shift documents for compliance.
  • Cleaning Standards: Uphold and fulfill cleaning regimes to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Operational Improvement: Actively participate in processes that enhance business performance.

Qualifications:

  • Leadership Skills: Lead by example in maintaining Mars Supply Excellence (MSE).
  • Multi-tasking Ability: Effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Goal-oriented: Focus on achieving production objectives.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with packaging systems such as KSE, Courbon, Advance Engineering, and Newtec palletizer.

Job Specifications/Qualifications

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Have a High school diploma, GED or equivalent education
  • Must be willing and able to work and accept varying shifts and schedules
  • Ability to understand and effectively communicate in the English language
  • Demonstrated competency in computer and pc software including MC Office and email
  • Must have 3+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Leadership experience is a plus
