Occupational Health Nurse

Gainesville, GA

On-site (min. 4 days a week, 1 day remote)

Standard hours with required on-call coverage, plus flexible hours to

support shift work on occasion

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) to support manufacturing sites. This role serves as the clinical expert for occupational

health and wellbeing, driving a strong culture of health, safety, and regulatory compliance.

The OHN partners closely with site leadership, HSE, Facilities, HR (P&O), and other stakeholders to influence health outcomes, mitigate risk, and improve workforce

wellbeing. This position requires the ability to work independently in a dynamic manufacturing environment while maintaining strong collaboration with site leaders

and across a broader Associate Health & Wellbeing network.

The Occupational Health Nurse is the primary clinical authority at the site, responsible for implementing and delivering health and wellbeing programs aligned to

organizational strategy. This role supports both a primary (home) site and additional locations, requiring flexibility, adaptability, and a strong partnership mindset.

The OHN plays a critical role in protecting employee health, reducing risk, and enabling business performance through evidence-based occupational health

What are we looking for?

  • BS in Nursing required, Master’s preferred

  • Minimum 3+ years Occupational Health experience

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with active Georgia license. Compact license preferred.

  • Experience in occupational health, manufacturing, or industrial environments

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety, and health surveillance programs

  • Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be able to travel approx. 25%

Preferred

  • COHN or COHN-S certification

  • Experience with population health analytics and data-driven program design

  • Background in ergonomics, injury prevention, and health promotion programs

  • Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment

What would be your key responsibilities?

Clinical Care & Case Management

  • Provide clinical assessment, triage, and management of occupational injuries and illnesses in alignment within the scope of nursing license.

  • Deliver first aid medical response during clinic hours

  • Manage return-to-work programs and continuity of care

  • Maintain accurate, confidential employee health records in compliance with

  • HIPAA and company policy

Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, federal and state regulations, and internal policies

  • Administer and manage required health surveillance programs, including:

  • Hearing conservation

  • Respiratory protection

  • Bloodborne pathogens

  • Exposure monitoring (chemical, biological, ergonomic risks)

  • Support incident investigations and partner with HSE to identify and mitigate workplace hazards

  • Oversee work-related injury/illness case processes and collaborate with claims adjusters and risk management

Health & Wellbeing Strategy

  • Develop and implement site-specific health action plans based on population health data and risk assessments

  • Translate health data, dashboards, and insights into actionable recommendations and reporting to site leaders

  • Evaluate program effectiveness, monitor outcomes, and identify gaps or opportunities

  • Promote preventative health through education, coaching, and proactive interventions

Business Partnership & Influence

  • Build trusted, credible partnerships with site leaders and stakeholders to influence a culture of health and safety

  • Advise leadership on occupational health risks, trends, and regulatory requirements

  • Engage Associates through walkthroughs, inspections, health promotion events, and training initiatives

  • Support benefits utilization through health fairs and collaboration with Benefits teams

Ergonomics & Workplace Safety

  • Conduct and support ergonomic assessments across manufacturing and office environments

  • Collaborate with HSE to address injury trends and improve workplace design and practices

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with the broader Associate Health & Wellbeing team to deploy strategy and share best practices

  • Participate in communities of practice to exchange insights, tools, and learnings

  • Stay current with evolving regulations, industry trends, and emerging technologies in Occupational Health
