Network Engineering Technology Owner | Hybrid | Guararema IT Hub

The appointed Network Engineering Technology Owner (role holder) is responsible for the development and delivery of network technology solutions supporting the Mars global business units.

Using a deep technical understanding of the infrastructure the Network Engineering Technology Owner will work closely with the other ENS teams, partners, and vendors to maintain, design, and support the local and central network infrastructure. The role holder is expected to maintain effective relationships with our key technology vendors, inspiring them to think creatively to achieve the agreed outcomes and build and maintain a good technical know-how.

The Network Engineering Technology Owner will use their product knowledge to drive global improvements of the existing services, ensure lifecycle management, and contribute to the creation of a mid and long-term technology roadmap.

Context & Scope

  • The scope of the role is covering the global infrastructure with a focus on one main technology area, but with links to other networks related technologies.

  • The job holder is part of the Global ENS team and is part of the Network Engineering Team.

  • The job holder needs to work within the wider global landscape, covering the complexity of multiple languages, cultures, and different legislation.

  • Utilize 3rd party vendors and service partners to deliver the products and services.

  • Deliver multiple projects/workstreams simultaneously.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Create and maintain an in-depth understanding of existing and emerging technologies, and act as a technology expert and consultant.

  • Work closely with technology partners, service providers and internal stakeholders to drive efficiency and effectiveness of our solutions.

  • Own and run small and medium development/deployment projects using an established project management methodology.

  • Proactively identify and action issues and opportunities with our network products portfolio based on technical and analytical evidence

  • Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain a “no surprise” environment.

  • Provide input into the mid and long-term technology roadmap.

  • Constantly model and demonstrate a security first mindset.

What are we looking for?

Must have:

  • Industry experience or an IT infrastructure background focused on LAN, WAN, or Security technologies

  • Experience in Project management

  • Experience in Network Service Delivery (e.g., LAN, WAN deployments)

  • ITIL certification

Nice to have:

  • Certification in one of the technology areas

  • Certification in project management
