Job overview:

  • The People & Organization (P&O) Director for our new MGS Hyderabad Capability Centre provides leadership in shaping business strategic objectives and driving business success of our newly created MGS Capability Centre in Hyderabad in collaboration with Genpact.
  • This is a pivotal and unique role for both the Mars business and our strategic partner Genpact as it builds the future organisation of the MGS Hyderabad Capability Centre, maximising efficiency across both P&O operating models, the business transition, building Mars culture and ensuring adoption of Mars Signature Programs in the new hub.
  • Focus areas include strategic business partnership to the project team and future hub leadership, significant business transformation and transition, building Mars culture and ensuring smooth transition into the Mars ecosystem, talent and associate development in growing centre .


What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Partner with the VP of MGS P&O and project leadership to establish short-term and long-term goals to drive centre success, ensure the people agenda delivers for MGS 2030 vision and strategy.
  • Promote a collaborative environment across Mars and Genpact P&O programs, to effectively build the new MGS Hyderabad Capability Centre, driving stable operations and transformation where is matters.
  • Work with the MGS Hyderabad Capability Centre Leadership Team (considering Mars and Genpact Leaders) to support their business strategy and overall success.
  • Business Partner the VP of the MGS Hyderabad Capability Centre and be a sparring partner to the organisation.
  • Drive the combined organization to bring to life a talent strategy that supports growth and associate development / engagement; keep a ‘pulse’ of the business and develop appropriate OD interventions that strength the health of the organization and enable a high performing culture.
  • Drive efficiency across the P&O operating model by: facilitating the introduction and adoption of Mars signature programs, leading and managing unit specific projects, providing P&O support to units, and interfacing with Line Managers.
  • In partnership and alignment with Genpact, drive and lead People initiatives for the entire MGS Hyderabad Capability Centre.
  • Lead, manage and deploy all P&O activities related to “Build and Operate” (following the BOTT model) including close alignment with the Corporate Centre such as Rewards, Engagement, Talent etc
  • Lead on the House of Cultures Initiative to ensure the MGS Hyderabad Capability Centre is a thriving center in the wider Mars context.
  • Build MGS EVP for our MGS Hyderabad Capability Centre
  • Lead and manage capability development across the MGS Hyderabad Capability Hub in close collaboration with Mars U and the MGS Talent and Capability Director
  • Key member of the One Mars India team


What are we looking for?

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience as HR generalist/professionalism/BP. Experience with MNC or global corporation with ability to translate global programs into locally suitable solutions.
  • Business Partner experience at regional/ global level
  • Experience with GCC/ managed services is an advantage
  • Strong consulting skills and ability to leverage expertise to design and deploy impactful people solutions.
  • Good business acumen and experience
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
  • Good organization skills and the ability to multi-task and capable of establishing priorities
  • Strong analytical, consultation skill, coaching and problem-solving
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong verbal & written communication
  • Strong ability to turn strategy into meaningful action
