Job Purpose
Maintenance Manager role contributes sound people management, engineering problem solving, planning and Prioritizing skills to ensure the maintenance department meets their short- and long-term business commitments. Analyse data from various production line proactively prevent equipment failures from the Downtime history and proactive assumptions. Knowledgeable in Maintenance Excellence Principles. Ensure planning and scheduling best practices are being adhered to, provide solutions for engineering, project and plant issues and manage all associated storeroom issues. This position manages both internal and external resources to support activities on the site. This position also actively participates and contributes to the success of area continuous improvement teams. Engaging and Motivating the Maintenance team to deliver their best and beyond while developing the capabilities continuously. Conducting daily and Weekly reviews with stakeholders and FMT and aligning the way forward approaches. Driving MSE by owning and supporting various pillar elements.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for Leading and Planning of all Corrective, Preventive and Proactive Maintenance Activities for the factory assets based on his scope.
Contributes to Engineering Projects in assigned area to ensure that maintainability, cost effectiveness, quality and safety requirements are delivered.
Develop in-depth knowledge of the entire maintenance area and be recognized as an expert in multiple technologies.
This position also actively supports and contributes to the success of the site reliability improvement program and the continuous improvement.
Responsible for maintenance team Development & Engagement through periodic meeting and follow through.
Monitor Machine History & Scorecards and update Maintenance Strategy & Master Plan accordingly.
Support Technical Trainer in coordinating and conducting training to technical team, and prepare the required documentation (SOP’s, OPL’s and work instructions).
Analyze production lines performance to develop strategies to overcome the current challenges and plan the feature plans towards zero downtime.
Ensure safe and effective work of subordinates.
Build effective relationship with safety, Quality, operations, maintenance, and engineering to ensure team work on all initiatives.
Leading and supporting MSE initiatives and implementation like Progressive maintenance Autonomous maintenance and other pillar elements
Direct responsibility to maintain and improvement for all maintenance KPI’s.
Job Specifications/Qualifications
B. Tech in any Engineering - minimum 6-year experience in leading Maintenance/ Engineering team
8 Years or more working experience of managing technical teams in industrial/manufacturing environment, preferably in maintenance and/or engineering role able to work in all areas of the factory.
FMCG and Food manufacture preferred.
Experience of different Chocolate processes
Experience in large multinationals
