About the role: This role will be working for our Mars Petcare segment, where we make life better for pets and their owners.

Role Title: Laboratory Technician
Location: Bathurst NSW

Hours: Permanent full time role with occasional weekend work
Reporting to: Laboratory Manager

What you’ll do:

• Perform analytical testing on raw materials, finished goods, in-process, and environmental samples.

• Generate and provide reports and data as required.

• Safely dispose of raw materials and finished goods following site procedures.

• Ensure compliance with quality standards (e.g., GLP, QMP, Cross-Contamination, and site-specific requirements.

• Liaise with MGS Lab on implementation, interpretation & troubleshooting.

• Plan and execute lab analyses, train team members, and develop new testing methods when necessary.

• Training and assessing associates in laboratory techniques, supporting competency development and maintaining high laboratory standards.

• Participate in proficiency and ring testing programs.

Your unique ingredients:

• Certificate IV or higher in a laboratory or scientific discipline.

• Prior experience in laboratory position and quality control is highly desirable.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge of analytical methodology, manufacturing processes, material specifications, good manufacturing practices, auditing, and HACCP.

• IT Systems experience (ie SAP, Nexus, LIMS)
