We are seeking a highly motivated and analytically skilled Finance Business Partner Analyst to join our team as a key contributor in driving financial insights and value creation.

The Finance Business Partner Analyst for Royal Canin Canada plays a key role in providing financial direction, guidance, and constructive challenge to the Demand team on business decisions with financial impact. This includes analyzing complex business information, distilling key insights, and developing financial models based on underlying assumptions.

The role owns the periodic accrual and budget management for our key Trade & Advertising initiatives.

What are we looking for?

  • University degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in Financial Analysis roles, supporting Sales, Marketing, or similar functions, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI is considered an asset.
  • Experience in the FMCG industry is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts and principles.
  • Proven ability to build cross-functional, collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

What are your Key Responsibilities?

  • Partner with the Pet Specialty Retail & Omni Pillar to help shape financial strategy and support the development of New Product Launch P&Ls.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the key drivers of period-end actuals.
  • Take an active part in DMR feeder preparation and discussions.
  • Participate in discussions to ensure consistency of recurring demand plans in volume and value.
  • Monitor and manage Trade Spend & Marketing budgets throughout the year, ensuring compliance and taking corrective actions where required.
  • Support the Canada FP&A team in digitalization of reporting and create the new (Power BI dashboard, implementation of new business intelligence system, etc).
  • Standardize processes and deliver efficiencies.
  • Provide decision support for ad-hoc initiatives with financial impact, such as trade investments, customer- or company-led projects, business cases and root cause analysis of performance opportunities/issues.
  • Support demand team on investment proposals and collaborate on new business opportunities within the channel, ensuring investment level, and product range are optimized to drive sustainable growth and profitability.
  • Promote and maintain a strong governance culture.
