The EDiscovery Operations Lead will support the Mars inhouse Forensics and eDiscovery Services team by managing the end-to-end lifecycle of eDiscovery processes, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and standards, overseeing project tracking and metrics reporting, and driving process improvement efforts to optimize delivery quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of eDiscovery tools, workflows, and best practices, as well as excellent analytical problem-solving, project management, and communication skills. As the EDiscovery Operations Lead, you will work closely with internal investigation and litigation operation teams, IT professionals, and external partners to ensure seamless project intake and efficient project delivery. You will also work closely with program leadership to identify delivery process improvement opportunities and support workflow improvement initiative ideation and implementation.
The successful candidate will be working with a small, highly effective team of professionals. Communication skills and attention to detail are critical for this position as this is a customer-facing role expected to frequently interact with senior leaders in governance functions to coordinate high-criticality projects.
What are we looking for?
5 (five) years of professional experience, of which 3 (three) or more are with a global CPG organization or a management consulting firm
3 (three) years of eDiscovery/litigation support experience with a focus on workflow and project management, at least 1 (one) year of experience in a PMO (project management office) leadership role
Advanced project management skills, able to independently track multiple concurrent work streams and find creative solutions to effectively drive projects to closure
Exceptional analytical skills, able to discern relevant data, identify improvement opportunities, develop and implement improvement strategies, and demonstrate results through insightful metrics
Strong command of customer and stakeholder relationship management, able to develop trusting partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to drive collaboration and influence change
Strong organizational agility, ability to learn how organizations work, navigate effectively through organizational network and context, and make sound operational decisions following policies and procedures
BS/BA or equivalent work experience (MBA or background in management consulting highly preferred)
Proficiency in RelativityOne is a must (proficiency in Microsoft Purview eDiscovery highly preferred)
What will be your key responsibilities?
Support complex project triaging and intake by providing consultative advice to downstream stakeholders regarding service mix, policy compliance, and end-to-end eDiscovery expertise including data collections, processing, review workflows, analytics, and production/export deliverables; serve as primary point of contact for customer escalations
Track and report on the progress of concurrent eDiscovery projects, ensure completeness and accuracy of task logs
Considering operational context, evaluate existing eDiscovery project delivery processes to discern efficiency improvement opportunities
Support the development of process improvement strategies, implement process improvement initiatives including but not limited to service scope adjustment change management, project management tooling and documentation management, operation best practice development and documentation
Support the development of and maintain the currentness of operation metrics reporting
